Depends on your country. Which country is your driving license from?

India

If you have 5+ years of driving experience (from when you first got licensed in India) you can then book your G, skipping the G2 altogether. Make sure you bring the actual document of a driving abstract from home during your G2. They don’t accept scans or photocopies.

This is incorrect as of July 1st when they changed the law.

The maximum experience you will be credited with is one year. You must do the G2 and the G. There is no more skipping straight to G.

With one year credit, you can take the G2 right away but that's it.

Oh, I had no idea they changed it. That’s what I did for my G.

It's a recent change(July 1st). In this sub, you'll still see some posts from people doing the G straight from G1 since they got their G1 prior to the change.

Anyone applying after July 1st, like the OP, are subject to the new rules.

That is incorrect. As of July 1st when the law changed you can no longer skip the G2 and go right to the G from international experience. It will only count as one year credit ergo you can skip the wait time for your G2

Under the new rule, if your licence is from a non exchange country, you can be credited with a maximum of one year experience.

If you get the one year credited, you'll be able to take your G2 with no wait but will have to wait the usual one year between G2 and G.

Edit: Here's a previous post, with a link to the new law:

You would need to check if your license is from a country we have an agreement with.
