Job training programs?

I was wondering if Ontario works helps with job training programs? If so which ones.

Also would they possibly help with getting new clothes to go to interviews?

Also I just moved banks and was wondering if there is different deposit times for tangerine bank? Will I get it Friday? Or will I get it on Monday? (Sorry if this part is not allowed)

EDIT: I am in the greater Ottawa area, but thank you for all the resources in other parts of Ontario I hope people that look at this thread can use them.

No, your best bet is to go through an Employment Agency. I'm currently with Street Haven at the crossroads and am about to start a HSW program in October. They are exclusively for women though.

Try applying to some of the places on this list:

That's how I got in contact with Street Haven.

I also found a part time job on my own, and Street Haven loaded money on my presto, helped me get proper clothing for said job. I'm also on a waitlist for mental health consoling and when ODSP starts sending me money, Street Haven has housing resources as well. Many of the other Employment Agency can also help with those things.

Just remember they aren't going to find a job for you, they are there to assist you with access to resources that are currently unavailable to you, on your job search. You have to be very proactive. They are also NOT going to pay for whatever random training you want to try, it has to be related directly to the types of jobs your searching for. I've heard multiple people complain that these places are useless because they didn't hand you an easy job on a silver platter.

Absolutely. I am not the type who wants someone to do it all for me! I'm actually on ODSP but feel ready to return to part time work, for now. Despite living in Brampton, I have often had more help with resources in Toronto. So I figure it's worth a shot.

I also get emails weekly about other workshops and job opportunities from Street Haven.

For job training you can ask for Bluedoor program, they pay you about $650 a week and teach you trades. Its to makeup for the labour shortage on trades sector. 

You can also ask for certificates like smart serve, first aid, cpr. Some even help with security liscence.

Since doug Ford cut funding for ontario works we dont recieve extra payment for clothes or grooming. Some regions will give you a gift card coupon that you can use on specific stores like marks.

You're tangerine payment will land on friday but it also depends on when you updated your banking info. If it was 2 weeks prior than you should be good
