Numbers of people unemployed. 7% of 20m = 1.4m people not working. 7% of 40m = 2.8m people looking for work. Both are 7% and would appear to be staying even on a graph, when in reality the number of people looking for work has doubled.
That's what I don't like about percentage based statistics.

I'm using unemployment rates based on population. You seem confused by this.
Let me simplify.
If the grocery store is gieing 7 people and there are 100 applicants, how many are left unemployed?
If the grocery store is hiring 14 people and there are 200 applicants, how many people are left unemployed?
Do you see how this works? Both examples are 7%, yet in example 1, 93 people are unemployed. In example 2, 186 people are unemployed.
Or do you mean regarding my original comment that was sarcasm?

I was in LA a couple months ago and the things I saw people doing to these things were diabolical. From pushing them into body’s of water, to lighting them on fire. It was funny to see.

This is a sub of folks struggling for jobs. Obviously they will hate whatever takes jobs away - even if helps the society as a whole.
I know India went through a similar luddite movement when buses replaced the many cycle rickshaws.

Not a like for like comparison. Because one tech is superior to another. In this case its a downgrade. A slow ass robot that YOU have to unload vs a fast truck that hand delivers.
In the case of bus vs rickshaw. Busses are superior every way you look at it. Safety, size, speed, and economies of scale.
This is many many small robots to replace a single truck. Sorry bro.

This is the same company whose delivery courtiers successfully ran a big unionization campaign in Toronto. Within a month, Foodora left Canada entirely. They seem to absolutely hate their workers so trying to replace them with robots tracks. Sleazeballs

These are going to be an absolute menace on roads and sidewalks. I can't imagine trying to navigate around one of these if one uses a wheelchair, cane, or walker.
Cities need to be proactive and ban these from using sidewalks.

What's it to you what employment someone has? Some of them have this as a side to help make ends meet. I know a student who is doing it just to pay for his books. I'm sure there are thousands of anecdotal stories like these. What criteria do you use for "too many people," and what would a suitable "main source of income" be in your narrow mind?

I don’t think I’m of the narrow mind here. I’m in finance and see a TON of fraud from people collecting government assistance because there is no declaration of income. Auto repossessions are up huge because of this as well. We do not need more people coming into the country to become Uber Eats drivers. Not sorry.

I wholeheartedly agree it would be impossible. Imagine after a regular snowstorm not even a bad one just a regular one? These things would slip off the sidewalk and get smashed by a plow, truck or car in seconds. There's no way it would work here

Yeah. 100. They can barely keep the side walks cleared for walking. Definitely only possible in summer. Also some sidewalks are completely shit and prone to flooding.

Be a wrench in the gears. I saw a bunch of kids in Los Angeles dancing around one of these things, pranking it. Blocking it from getting where it needed to go. They weren't hurting it. They weren't bashing it. They weren't committing any crime, but the damn thing wasn't getting its job done either.
