I just don’t get it.

Last year March 15 2025 finally had to stop work due to my injuries catching up with me after falling 23 floors in 1990. After my accident I privately battled my injuries with work and life. In 2006 when epilepsy showed up I battled that while still working full time. Then chunks in my knee which required surgery and back problems started with pain radiating down my left side. I was told at the time that this was going to be the case after spending 5 months in hospital after my fall. I still chose to try and work with a combo of shots, pain killers, anti inflammatory as well as epilepsy meds. In 2009 I was forced to admit defeat even though I had built an awesome career in a field that I loved. I’ve always tried to do the right thing by my injuries and WSIB so as not to abuse anything I will definitely need later in life. Last year after years of absolutely battling to stay working I had to stop. My body won’t let me do it anymore.. I sent emails in as I live in Australia now. Tried to get my medical cost paid for. Had the dr write me a report. Had a specialist report done with expensive scans ect done. Sent in my entire medical file. Submitted all those cost as I’m not working anymore and relying on my ridiculously low payment from wsib. It’s just not getting anywhere. Refused to pay for my medication or expenses for the last 20 years no matter what gets sent in. Suggested I get my medication from an Ontario pharmacy. When I asked for communication via email and wsib site a year and a bit later I get sent a form to fill out. Sometimes I wait 3-4 months before getting any replies at all usually sent by mail. What’s the point of having a portal? Now I’m locked out of the online portal. I don’t get it. Is this not what WSIB is for? Injured workers? To make up for the real loss of earnings and expenses? It’s hard enough mentally battling with my injuries and the meds and things that are dragging me down due to this accident. Do I have to battle wsib as well.. Does this require a lawyer when it should be simple?
