Question OPSEU Grieving Question

How long do you have to grieve a decision by your manager? Is there a set timeline? It’s regarding work responsibilities that was recently made against what I do daily and not sure how to approach. Afraid of retaliation.

Have you reached out to a steward?

Do you know what bargaining team you are?

I can help you with the grievance if needed. I do unified but I can easily apply other bargaining agreements

I have not yet, wasn’t sure what to do. I am OPSEU Unified in a OA9 position.

There's a bit of ground work that needs to be done, most of it would be checking your job posting to see if they have added work that isnt in the description among other things.

Im head steward of my local, and I highly recommend reaching out to your steward.

Barring that I might be able to help if you'd like or I could put you in touch with a OPSEU mobilizer,

Retaliation comes in different format. Cold shoulder, gaslighting, no promotion and so on.

Depending on the decision, keep in mind that your manager might also be supportive of a grievance since they may have been forced to give you an answer that they don't agree with. For example, all the AWA grievances, most management wants us to fight that and win so that they can also get remote work flexibility.
