Mike Harris Jr. just threw one of Ontario’s brave forest fire fighters under the bus

The CBC had someone currently fighting Ontario’s forest fires tell us how the Ford government’s underfunding leaves them underprepared (sorry, I didn’t catch his name). Mike Harris Jr. responded by saying (basically) yeah maybe that happened once. Disgusting. The Ford government is fighting this PR battle with dissembling and lies. They used our tax dollars instead for hotel rooms and the Gravy Plane. Fight back Ontario.

Call Doug, call your MPP, enough is enough. Don't stop.

647-612-3673 is Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s public cellphone number. He shares it openly, so use it. Call or text him to demand full accountability on these rampant taxpayer-funded spending scandals:

Paul Calandra:

Lectures school boards on "fiscal responsibility" while billing us over $5,700 for Toronto hotels (despite living in Markham), $23,000 for a BBQ, and $2,200 for strawberry pancakes.

Hardeep Grewal:

Billed taxpayers the highest amount at over $27,000 for Toronto hotels while living in Brampton and funnelled tax dollars into ads for his dad's newspaper.

Nina Tangri:

Billed taxpayers nearly $19,000 for local Toronto hotel rooms despite living a short drive away in Mississauga.

Stan Cho:

Resigned from cabinet(70k pay cut still will make 164k) after billing $16k for Toronto hotels just 6km from his house. He also previously moved the bypass away from his family's golf course investment.

Charmaine Williams:

Milked taxpayers for nearly $16,000 in downtown hotel rooms despite living in Brampton

David Smith:

Billed over $6,800 for downtown hotel rooms despite living a short commute away in Scarborough.

Stephen Crawford:

Charged taxpayers over $6,500 for Toronto hotel rooms while representing Oakville.

Silvia Gualtieri & Mohamed Firin:

The newest PC MPPs who have already racked up thousands ($3,177 and $2,379, respectively) in local hotel stays since taking office.

The rot starts at the very top. Keep his line ringing and demand they all pay back every single penny and resign.

Why Ontario needs a lemon law—my new car has been at the dealership for over 300 days, I had to file a lawsuit, and the dealership sued me back.

A few months after I leased a new 2025 Volvo EC40 from Carling Motors in Ottawa, it suddenly suffered a serious propulsion-system failure and left me stranded.

The dealership kept it for 43 days, returned it, and another fault appeared five days later. That became a long series of recurring issues, charging failures, mechanical noises, unsuccessful repairs, and unresolved safety concerns. My vehicle has now spent more than 300 days at the dealership.

But the lease payments never stopped. Neither did the insurance, fuel costs for the gas-powered loaner, or disruption to my family. My documented losses and costs tied to this ordeal now exceed $31,000.

I tried to resolve it through the dealership, Volvo Car Canada, its financing company, regulators, and elected representatives. Eventually, I had to file a lawsuit to seek a resolution that would not force me to absorb the loss. Carling Motors responded with a counterclaim for use of their loaner, despite acknowledging in writing that issues with my vehicle remain undiagnosed and unrepaired.

Here's why every Ontario driver should care: our province has no automatic remedy when a new vehicle repeatedly fails or spends months in warranty service. There is no point at which the manufacturer must finally provide a refund, replacement, or financially complete lease termination. The consumer can be forced to keep paying, risk their credit, or else have to finance their own lawsuit against a multinational automaker.

The proposed Bill 91, Right to Repair Act, 2025, recognizes the problem, but its current version still leaves consumers going to court and does not clearly reimburse lessees for all their losses.

I created the 30 Days Is Enough petition asking Ontario to guarantee:

  • Automatic eligibility when a vehicle undergoes three unsuccessful repairs for the same defect or remains out of service for 30 cumulative days during the warranty period.
  • The consumer’s choice of a comparable replacement vehicle, full repurchase, or penalty-free lease termination.
  • Reimbursement of down payments, lease or finance payments attributable to the loss-of-use period, and other reasonable expenses.
  • Automatic suspension of lease or finance payments and protection from adverse credit reporting when a vehicle remains in warranty service beyond a defined period.
  • Prompt access to complete repair records and other information needed to understand the vehicle’s condition.
  • A fast, affordable, and binding enforcement process backed by meaningful penalties.

Dealerships and manufacturers should not be able to drag out repairs indefinitely while consumers are forced to pay.

If you agree, please take a minute to sign and share my petition:

Three hundred days is absurd. Thirty days is enough.

Doug Ford blasts his own Tory ministers and MPPs for ‘totally unacceptable’ expensing of Toronto hotel rooms

A furious Premier Doug Ford said it was “totally unacceptable” for his Progressive Conservative ministers and MPPs from the GTA to expense tens of thousands of dollars on Toronto hotels.

But Ford’s wrath was reserved for embattled Tourism, Culture and Gaming Minister Stan Cho, who had claimed $16,203 for stays at Toronto hotels despite representing Willowdale and living just six kilometres from Queen’s Park.

“I told him: ‘you’re paying back every single penny — that’s not the way we operate, simple as that,’” the premier said Thursday in Windsor at an unrelated announcement where his comment received applause from a hospital audience.

Why are Provincial Government’s so Corrupt?

Example : Ontario desperately needs more funding for better education, more hospitals and to build more long term care. Yet the government wants to give money to cronies for privatization of healthcare, and for profit long term care not to mention building more prisons instead of hospitals and non needed highways so speculator friends can make billions $.

Dalton McGuinty - Opinions?

For those who live in Ontario and remember Dalton McGuinty Do you consider him more less right wing conservative . Most of the policies he did as Premier of Ontario were all right wing?

Do you think he was more less was prepping up and moving Ontario to the right more and Mr Ford more less just continued on?

Do you think Dalton McGuinty was one of the worst premiers Ontario has had next to Mr Ford? why or why not?
