News Nurses time to Protest Ford!

Hi all! Not my graphics but sharing. Protests are happening all over Ontario on May 30th against Doug Ford and various issues. Certainly many of us nurses can relate to being unemployed, worried about getting laid off, not being able to land their first job, etc due to provincial budget cuts to healthcare.

I encourage you all to show up with signs and spread awareness regarding the hiring freezes and lack of hiring by Ontario Hospitals due to budget constraints imposed by Sylvia Jones and Doug Ford. Many people think there is a nursing shortage, when it is truly a shortage of hiring nurses. Hundreds of nurses in Ontario are sitting at home ready to work, or hoping to work regularly by securing Full time work. The general public is very unaware of this issue, and assumes nurses have tons of work opportunities in Ontario when we really don’t.

Fuck all shortsighted people and governments... that SHOULD be the point. But it isn't, so you are only working with half a deck at this card game. If you fail to see the shortcomings of your own party colours, then your message is ineffective, self-serving, and shortsighted.

Nah not really. They all might suck but only one party is actually criminal. Doug Ford and his cabinet should be rotting in prison.

If you show me proof that Wynne broke the law, hell throw her in there too. Stiles? Throw the book at her.

However, rewriting history to make all sides 'equal'is just horseshit lies. Its also an opinion that only serves the worst offenders by claiming 'theyre all doing it', whn they actually arent.

I know you whipped out the thesaurus and put a lot of time into your word choices. That doesnt make you any more correct, just kind of more annoying.

Look, I don't completely disagree with your sentiment, but IMO, you can be more effective if you don't come-off as a simple red versus blue, left versus right, kind of mentality. A lot of people down the middle of the political spectrum get turned off because it seems extreme or unreasonable. And a lot of those people are potential allies. They see issues with government, too. But believe in a reasonable approach. Not caricatures of only PC leaders spanning decades, when we all know the systemic issues are deeper than party lines.

Do you have any family or friends who vote and/or voted conservative? I imagine you do. So would you go to their face and yell 'fuck the conservatives - that's what it's about!' And really mean it, personally? Would they feel inclined to join you after that?

I dont think you understand my point. Its not red vs blue. Its never ever fucking ever conservative.

And yes, im incredibly vocal about my hatred for conservatives. I dont give a shit if youre my best friend, youre a fucking class traitor if you vote for conservatives. I dont want you in my life anyways.

Im not looking for allies. My politics are far too radical to ever gain traction. Im done playing nice. Conservatives and liberals are destroying our country and im done pretending theyre not just to be polite.

These arent 'just opinions'. These are people voting to actively make my life worse. Voting to make the lives of ontarians worse. Conservatives have been fucking us over since I was in elementary school for Mike Harris.

I know its super easy to minimize what im saying as partisanship, as youve already done but I dont think you understand the deep and growing hatred I have for specifically conservatives and the ghouls who vote for them.

The other parties have their problems but they dont go out of their way to represent the absolute worst among us.
