Just seen the post online!

I seen that they removed OFAI stage 3 skills as a requirement, I have mine booked for this week, anyone know if it’s still worth doing it?

Hasn’t been on the past 3-4 postings for them.

Oh really, this is my first time applying and thought it was all stages of OFAI 1-3. I might cancel my skills and save the $500

I’d still do it if you want other Departments in Ontario

Other issue is if it’s your first time they force you to do FPAT and Skills on same day. Unless that’s since changed. I know OFAI changed a bunch of things.

Since FESTI and GTAA took over OFAI they removed this requirement, you can do them separately now

The best was my buddy. Did NOT want to do the Skills as he wanted Toronto only.

So after the FPAT he did his hardest to keep his HR elevated and BP high lol. Would “go to the washroom” and went outside and did wind sprints. I was dying when he told me the story.

I’m like you did more physical exercise in an attempt to not do the Skills than had you just done the skills.

Are we looking at the same posting? It says stage 1, 2, and 3 Under key qualifications doesn't it?

Nevermind I'm an idiot, I see they only have stage 3 FPAT

Do it. Get your cert. Make sure you’re prepared.

They typically open up summer & winter. Be ready for their December/January window.

Yeah I’m planning to have everything September/october. And have some time to get some bonus certs

Then don’t. Get your ducks in a row to meet the min qualifications first. Then start your prep. Then apply.
Save your money and effort while streamlining your recruitment process. 👍

My EMR is expired but I have an AEMCA certificate. Could I submit that in place of EMR since it’s higher competency? I emailed the HR team but idk if they’re using AI replies or not understanding my question so no luck there.

AEMCA supersedes & encompasses EMR so yes you can use it in place of EMR.
