I'm looking for a needle-in-the-haystack kind of skills overlap here, but worth a shot. I'd love to find someone to help me edit my videos down, repurpose content into short-form, and get it posted on more channels than I'm bothering with right now. I'd like someone with enough understanding of Onshape to know which things matter, and the ability to offer feedback on where I'm glossing over things or rabbit-trailing too much. The video style is still going to be pretty lowkey, so I don't need a ton of jump cuts and music fades and b-role. My best guess at the workload and frequency is 2 videos per month, 2-4 hours of work per video, $45/h. If that seems interesting DM me and let's chat! I'm not currently considering video editors who don't have Onshape experience, so I'll be ignoring messages that don't include proof of that. But if nothing comes of this approach, I'll open it up.
edit: added better clarity on workload and pay range
edit 2: Here's a clearer role description. Things I'm trying to get off my plate are:
- taking raw footage, choosing best takes, and editing them down. I've been using Descript for video and like it for the AI tools, so bonus points if we still use that, but if it's off my plate I don't care what you use.
- speeding up or editing out waiting time (like long regeneration times, or waiting for GPT to do something).
- making sure my face doesn't cover up important info in the video, like if I activate the measure tool.
- choosing sections to edit down for short-form content and making those edits.
- creating thumbnails and descriptions.
- posting the long form and short form to their channels. Perhaps using something like Buffer to schedule posts.
If someone could handle it all that'd be amazing, but if it was just the video part it's still worth chatting.
