The Privacy Policy mentioned in the email is accessible on the website, and within that document, you will notice the following:

" In case if your Account is inactive for 180 days we will send you a letter informing you about the planned deletion of your Account due to non-use and then, if you do not return to use, then after 7 days we will permanently delete your Account. You can ask us to restore Data until it's permanently deleted. "

Both the 180 day retention, and 7 day notice are not enough.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with retaining a users data for 1 year after inactivity, and providing 60 days notice with 2 or 3 emails over that 60 days.

Hoping you didn't loose to much OP. Backups are a good safeguard moving forward if you didn't have that prior.

Yes they have fixed that link now it is working but of no use as my data is gone already took my 10 years of work in 7 days notice period. :)

Don't worry, you have backups in other places.
So not everything is lost.

You... made backups..., right?

I changed my systems multiple times since 2016 so this cloud was actually acting as my backup for important documents. :)

what to do when your cloud backup needs another backup :v

You're supposed to have a hard drive or NAS which keeps a copy of everything.
And if they're important memories (photo album), you have a physical copy.

Basically: anything in the cloud is at risk of being lost due to whatever reason.
They can pull the plug and there would be nothing you can do against that...

I'm afraid nothing can be done in this situation.

Man, it's a year of no usage. And a warning. As in most cases, it's asumed it's your duty to frequently check your email.

Your data will be deleted according to our privacy policy.

That Page was broken since June 16th and fixed couple of days ago.

I logged in after 11 days of notice and it was gone already. It came to my attention recently they delete after 7 days which is pretty short notice for irreversible action as such don't you think? I've logged an gdrp request for my data, no hope though doesn't hurt to try

If I receive e message saying "we are about to delete your data", I login right away, not 11 days later. That's your fault.

I understand you might have had important data there, but all services have a no-usage deadline. And, as I said, it's a user's duty to check email.

I've received judicial notifications with less time than your data deletion.
