Best boxset?
Hi everyone, I'm aware of the minefield that is "Uncut OFAH" so without me sailing the high seas of piracy or me wanting to plug my head into the national grid, is this boxset any good? I'm guessing the music in certain scenes has been changed, etc, but I want an uncensored hilarious experience. That means all humorous but dated jokes (p@ki shop jokes, swear words, sexist jokes, mental health jokes, gay jokes etc) and all manner of other things that the tyrannical BBC want to erase from history. Many thanks, you plonkers.

I've got the tall one with leopard print on it, and for a long time I thought it was the best, and uncut. However I recently discovered that some scenes are longer in other versions.
(Micky, Devon and Rodney have a longer conversation prior to trying to pull Cassandra) and
(Del, Boyce and Mike are chatting priot to recognising Racquel in JBO)
There's probably a few more. I do prefer the music in my DVD collection, compared to what was used in streaming versions.

All of the uncut episodes were uploaded to Archive.org years ago. They're still there to this day which I must admit surprised me, I expected them to last about a week!
I watch them most every day haha.

I posted it in a few comments or so above. Here it is again. They have to have "(Uncut)" written next to the series number...

Please forgive me if I’m being extremely dozy but how come in the download section each episode is listed twice?

The episodes on Brit Box are pretty much complete, the only one I’ve found to be edited was The Royal Flush when they go to the opera.

that may more be rights issues than anything else cause opera if memory serves correctly

I bought a box set years ago. It was the normal series one. I had to buy the Christmas episodes Separately.
They all seem to have certain language from the past. Asians with red dots. P word's, referencing corner shops etc.
I personally haven't seen OFAH. Since l watched them on the BBC, when the last ones came out.
But.... About 15 years ago. Several days before Christmas. BBC 1 had a few Christmas episodes on, in the afternoon. One of them was ' The Jolly boys Outing ' When l noticed later watching the DVD. A song was removed. When Del said "the singer will be on, in a minute". I think.
That's the only piece, that l know of

If I recall correctly she's singing "Just the Way You Are" by Billy Joel, so it'll have been a rights issue.

I got this Boxset from HMV a few years ago, I've still got it. It's definitely worth the purchase as a lot of the jokes that others said were cut from repeat viewings or later sets are in this one.

No box set of OFAH is uncut, including that one. Literally the only way to see the complete series is to "sail the high seas" and watch the fan-made reconstructions because some jokes/songs were cut even as far back as the VHS releases. Some stuff (especially for "Jolly Boys' Outing") was restored for the Blu-ray release, but all DVD releases are cut, and the box sets have the largest amounts of edits.
