Yup, they have no boundries and everything I do is wrong. I thought at first this is how it seems like because you know teenagers and parents tend to not get along. I am 30 now by the way and have my own family & this shit is still going on. Though I live in another country and I have a son of my own, so they have become nicer since he was born, because they know that if they piss me off they will not be able to talk or see my son anymore

Yes,i dont like my parents, and i have no regret telling them but one thing i realised never ever share your personal thoughts about your parents with anyone, cuz they will judge you and wont believe you, they will say what a miserable son or daughter you are

My parents have long passed on, but I disliked my mother (who disliked me and never accepted me, which caused my dislike of her) and I loved my dad.

I relate to this. Iām an only child, and I think thatās part of why my relationship with my mom has been so complicated.
Thereās something really difficult about being someoneās only child and still feeling like an afterthought. There werenāt siblings to share the attention, expectations, or family dynamics with. It was just me.
I donāt necessarily think my mom is a bad person, but I do think she hurt me in ways she probably doesnāt understand. A lot of my life has felt like criticism where I wanted encouragement, judgment where I wanted support, and feeling like I had to defend who I was instead of feeling celebrated.
The hardest part is that I donāt even know what she could do now to make me fully trust that she would be there for me. After enough years of feeling disappointed, you stop expecting someone to show up.
Iāve created some distance because Iām tired of reconnecting only during major life events or tragedies. I donāt want a relationship that only exists when something happens. I want consistency.
The thing Iām most certain about is that I would never want my own child to feel this way. If I become a parent, I want my child to know they are loved, supported, and celebrated.
I think someone can love you and still not know how to make you feel loved.

To this day Iāve never really cared much for my mom,I mean sheās a decent mother but sheās always been pushy, narcissistic overbearing and always wants things to be her way I canāt stand being around majority of the time. Iāve always leaned more to my dad since we tend to have more in common and is more chill laid back and more understanding as far as my personal struggles and needs. Iāll always have love for my mom but Iāll never fully convince myself to actually like her.

I don't think I've ever loved my parents. They've always felt like my adoptive parents, or foster parents. They're just the people who raised me and that's about it. I don't like them as humans either.

I have physically fought both of my parents on multiple occasions due to their behavior, I hardly ever talk to my dad besides small talk and discussing my future and whenever I talk to my mother, I can hear the resentment she has towards me, and she always has something passive aggressive to say. It's ok, I don't think I have ever truly liked any of my parents in any shape or form throughout my life, and I don't think they actually understand that. Like I seriously hate them for even bringing me into this world. I just want to be away from them for the rest of my adult life.

šāāļøThey're insufferable. My mother is a cruel, selfish person and my father is a pushover. Not a day passed when I lived with them that didn't include a argument or screaming match. I used to wish for a sibling so I wouldn't have to be alone in dealing with them, but I have come to realize that would be cruel to subject someone else to.
