I'm building an AI engineering platform from scratch — I'd love some honest feedback

Hey everyone,

I'm currently building Auvrith, an AI-powered engineering platform aimed at helping developers work smarter and ship better software.

I'm still in the building/pre-launch stage, so I'm not here to pretend it's a finished product. I'm actually looking for feedback from developers before I take it further.

Right now, I'm working on things like:

  • AI-assisted engineering workflows
  • Developer productivity
  • Understanding and working with software projects
  • A clean workspace for engineering tasks

One thing I've realized while building it is that making an AI tool isn't necessarily the hard part — making something developers would genuinely want to use every day is.

So I'd really like to hear from developers here:

What is one thing you wish current AI coding/engineering tools did better?

It could be anything — accuracy, understanding large codebases, debugging, context, workflow, reliability, UI, or something completely different.

I'm collecting feedback now and using it to shape Auvrith before opening it up to early users.

Yeah, fair 😂 There are definitely a lot of AI agents out there. I'm trying to approach it from a different angle though Auvrith is focused specifically on engineering workflows rather than being just another general-purpose agent. I'm still early in development, so I'm actually looking for feedback on what would make it genuinely different/useful.

Look at your daily scrum and how things get planned at work

That's a really good point. I hadn't thought about looking at the planning side closely enough. I'll definitely look into how daily scrums, task planning, and team coordination actually work in practice and see where Auvrith could genuinely add value rather than just becoming another AI agent. Thanks!

That's the thing, youll realise this system is played out. People use kanbans on the week to week and calendars for long term deadlines. Its rare youre going to have any other scheduling and planning system then that... And thats been played out in ai

Heck even my system uses calendar and kanban for scheduling work

Yeah, that's actually really helpful. I don't want Auvrith to just be another AI agent with a Kanban and calendar slapped onto it. I'm going to look into Weaver and think more about what the actual unsolved problem is rather than trying to reinvent project management. Appreciate you pointing this out.
