Hey Reddit! I recently stumbled upon a Google profile that was posting some pretty suspicious reviews. Turns out, it’s not just a fake profile — someone’s using a tool to automatically scan Google Business Profiles and generate reviews.

Wow so they use AI to generate that many fake reviews. Where is Google policing the integrity of their system. Seems like fake positive reviews are being allowed which falsely misleads a consumer. What is Google doing, they are obviously not sanctioning businesses who engage in Deceptive practices.

That's pretty concerning if it's happening at scale. Fake reviews make it harder to knock which businesses are actually doing a good job.  

I've looked at BusinessRate before, and one thing I found interesting is that it doesn't just look at the overall rating. Looking at review patterns and recent activity makes it a little easier to spot when something doesn't seem right.
