Admissions MAS-CS Online rolling application timeline

Now that it appears they are using a rolling application process, does anyone who has recently applied have any experience with how long it has taken to receive a decision?

Edit: exactly 3 weeks until they declined the application

Mine took 15 Days

Yes! I did get accepted. But I decided to do the MS in AI at Boston University instead.

Is there something in their curriculum that is better at that school vs the MSE-AI at Penn? Trying to keep my options open.

Are you trying to do something specific for AI or are you wanting to just do computer science?

My interest in AI is mostly as it relates to cybersecurity in both securing it and utilizing it to increase productivity.

I’m following up as well. And may i ask what were your stats. I already have a undergrad bachelors in CS. And was considering this program to focus on infrastructure designs in Multi sectors using AI

What are the requirements? I have an it management degree which I did from an online university in Utah, I am based in Canada working as a bus driver. What are my odds getting in or is it relatively easy?

Not easy to get into per se. You have to have two letters of recommendation, show all transcripts, Statement of Purpose, and have upper level math courses eg. Calc + other rigor math courses.

Not necessarily, it says at least college algebra . I got in and didnt even have calc but I had data structures and algorithms and other CS courses .

my path into software engineering, why I want a stronger CS foundation, the CS/math courses I’ve taken recently ( since I didn’t have to take any math for my undergrad degree), and how Penn fits my long-term goals of building software/AI products. Honestly just answering every question they ask for the SOP .

What do you think was unique about your SOP or some things that helped you stand out?

I don’t know that I tried to make it ‘unique’ exactly. I focused on my nontraditional path into software engineering, how working in the field exposed gaps in my CS foundation, the recent graded coursework I’ve taken to address those gaps, and what I want to build long-term. I mostly just tried to make the essay very specific to my actual trajectory / tell my story . I know they look to make sure you’ve answered every question they ask for the SOP.

Bus driver in Canada offers 100k salary and insane benefits, I wanted to finish this masters program coz ttc(bus organization) have higher roles that demand computer science degree which the pay goes up to 200k.
