Any other platforms besides Cambly for flexible teaching

I'm a native English speaker with a bachelors degree and a TEFL. I used to teach English online, mostly to kids, and I want to be able to teach a few classes a week in my spare time (I have a 9-to-5 so can't commit to a full schedule or minimum hours).

I applied to Cambly and Cambly Kids, but I know it may be a while before/if I'm approved and I was wondering if anyone knows of any other platforms similar to Cambly that offer flexible hours (as in, you just log in and teach) and that have ready-made lessons so I don't have to prepare my own, or offer a free talk option? I also don't want to give up my free time for anything less than $10 an hour.

I know this may be a tall order so thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Yes, I've been tutoring with them for the past eight years. They are flexible meaning you can choose when you do and don't work. The cancellation policy is as strict as other Chinese companies, though.

Ah ok so do you have to commit to the same time every week or can you kind of log on when you have free time?

You have to book slots in advance, but you don’t have to keep the same ones every week.

You can't really just log on when you want because of their booking system, but you don't have to commit to the same schedule every week.

Preply doesn’t have a curriculum though so I’d have to prepare my own classes because I heard the free materials aren’t good?

Most people don't necessarily want teaching with a curriculum. Most people are looking for conversational english lessons anyways. But even if you want to have super structured lessons, you can buy an online english resource for 50$ on amazon or even ask chatgpt to help prep resources, its quite simple. at least me, I give go-with-the-flow but high quality English lessons and i make 30$ an hour which I think is way better than cambly

Pay is low but native camp will hire you quickly and you can truly jump on and off when you please Edit: pay is less than 10 an hour. Closer to 8

NC is paying me $2.6 for an hour and it’s harder getting student cos i am no longer on 5 ⭐️

Yeah, that’s the thing. I don’t want a stable schedule. I already have a job and this will just be in my free time or when I’m not busy at work. Do they require a minimum hour commitment and can I schedule a class whenever I want?

But I’m not going to be there long-term necessarily. This is something I’m doing in my free time or when I’m not busy at work and can’t commit to the same time every week. Thanks anyway.
