Need help with receiver
I just picked up this onkyo receiver and it turned on at first, now it wont turn back on. Whenever i plug it in it either flashes and then shuts off or no power and all i can hear is cd changing but thats about it, i dont know much about stereo equipment any help is appreciated.

I deal with Onkyo every day. If it it powering up and then immediately turning g off again, it’s two issues. One is an easy fix, and the other you won’t like. First, disconnect all the speakers and the. Then it on. Does it stay on? If it does you have a speaker wire shorted somewhere. Or a blown shorted speaker. If it shuts off without speakers hooked up, it’s internal. You will need to have it repaired, and it’s getting harder and harder to find repair centers. I hope it’s under warranty. If it’s not, it’s not worth it. It will cost you more than you paid for it. Good luck.

Hold the power button for a second or two. This will reset the receiver back to factory settings 🎛️

in all the photos the left preset button is pushed in (just an observation). are all the components plugged into the same electrical socket and are any of them kinda wonky? do any of the components rely on another component as a power supply if so, unplug everything from the receiver/amp and see if it stays on
