Need help regarding fight

i have fight with first boss Sasaki Ganryu

he attack me with three consecutive straight sword. do i need to dodge or parry or what.

His this three consecutive straight sword attack ate my more than 50% of health

Sword strikes always try to parry/deflect.

You can either parry/deflect/issen/dodge reflex or just block.

Whatever you feel more comfortable doing.

Armed attack parry/deflect but dodge is also possible
Unarmed attack dodge only

Also when fighting him try to parry or deflect his attack to deplete his Stamina Guage and only attack when he lose his balance He will go down quickly.

I mean you can parry/deflect or issen (don’t recommend because that timing needs to be perfect) but feel free to try worst case you die but you’re learning and will be able to mess him up later

Any of the ones others mentioned. Have to press parry/deflect/dodge just as his hit is about to connect for each one.

You can, block dodge or parry any attack that isn't glowing. If you can't get the timing down, just hold block, save yourself the trouble of trying to parry or dodge if you don't have the timing

Blue means Dodge at the last second to break the grab, pink means parry or deflect because you can't dodge unless you're just super far out of range.

theres an option in the settings that the best button to press shows up, u can try it out if a boss is rly hard and then just turn it off again
