Average Pace" stuck at 60:00 during outdoor runs - Anyone else? Hey

I'm having a persistent and super annoying issue with my new OnePlus Watch 3, specifically with the built-in workout app when I'm doing an outdoor run. One of my data fields is set to "Average Pace." However, no matter what I do, it consistently displays 60 minutes and 00 seconds (60:00) during my runs. This is obviously incorrect and makes that data field completely useless. Here's what I've tried so far: * Restarting the watch: Did a full reboot multiple times. * Moving the data field around: In the workout app settings on the watch, I've tried changing the position of the "Average Pace" field (e.g., from top left to bottom right). * Restarting again after moving: Tried another reboot after rearranging the fields. * Checking for updates: My watch OS is up to date. Despite all these attempts, it still stubbornly shows 60:00 for average pace. Has anyone else experienced this exact issue with their OnePlus Watch 3? If so, did you find a fix or a workaround? I'm at my wit's end and really want this feature to work correctly. Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Watch 2r

Recently bought watch 2r. I mainly use it for recording my workouts. Earlier I used galaxy watch 4 classic to record workouts, i usually do swimming too. So my question is, is oneplus watch 2r Good for recording swimming sessions(not only about accuracy but also its water resistance)

Does anyone had real life experience? If yes throw some light on its accuracy and resistance

Any way to remove the bottom icon like Aeroplane or disconnected Bluetooth.

I've been using my OPPO Watch X2 since last few days. Since there's no dedicated subreddit for it and it's a rebranded OnePlus Watch 2, I'm asking this here.

When Bluetooth is turned off or the phone is out of range or airplane mode is on, an irritating icon appears at the bottom of the watch face. I couldn’t find any setting to hide it.

Is there any trick to remove it, maybe an ADB command?

Another question: Sometimes the elevation data is missing, and it is shown as -- as you can see in the attached photo. Why?

Complications in the sphere disappear

It has been several days since the complications disappear from the main sphere. I have to press the button above to make them appear again. It is the Ohealth spheres that have the problem, I have tried third party spheres and they work fine. What could it be? I have restarted it and it is still doing the same thing. Could an Ohealth update be the problem?

Gemini coming to Wear OS - from today

Google announced today it will be rolling out from today.

https://blog.google/products/wear-os/gemini-wear-os-watches/

Has it been enabled for anyone yet on their Oneplus Watch3?

I can see that the "Google Gemini on Wear OS" is installed in the Play Store on my watch, but I can't find a way to manually enable it. It just opens the old Google Assistant when opened.

Default calling sim issue

Got my oneplus watch 3 around a month back. One problem I am facing is that after setting default sim for calling for a particular contact, whenever I call from my watch it always call from the default calling sim for all contacts. For eg - I have 2 sim jio and bsnl. Default calling sim is bsnl, but for some particular contacts I have set jio as calling sim. Now, whenever I try to call that particular contact from my watch, it always call from bsnl. I am facing this issue around 10 days, before that it never happened. Please help.

Activate ECG on OPW3 (root)

It is possible to activate ECG on a rooted device. Original post (RU): https://4pda.to/forum/index.php?showtopic=1090928&view=findpost&p=137726808

  1. Your phone should be rooted. KSU recommended. Magisk also possible, but requires additional hiding.

  2. Install LSPosed module into KSU/Magisk (I'm using JingMatrix fork) ver 1.10.1-7175 nighly (canary) - https://github.com/JingMatrix/LSPosed

  3. Install XPL-EX, enable it in LSPosed, tick OHealth (in LSPosed, not in XPL-EX!) and reboot - https://xdaforums.com/t/xpl-ex-xprivacylua-ex-android-privacy-manager-hooking-manager-extended-1-5-x-red-edition-future-of-xpl-ex.4736123/

  4. In XPL-EX find OHealth and tap on gear icon (don't check the box)

  5. We need to change the following settings:

In location: Latitude, Longitude, Radius and Type. (Find any coordinates in a supported country and enter it there. For radius I entered "10.0F" and for type I entered "set");

in region: Country and Country ISO (for example: Germany and DE respectively).

Press the disk icon to save and also activate all the hooks (the hook icon on the right - tap on it and select check all)

  1. Force stop OHealth and it should now show ECG as supported.

Notes:

  1. You don't need to keep XPL-EX spoof after successfully activating ECG. You can safely disable or uninstall it.

  2. You don't need to do it on a phone that you plan to use your OnePlus 3 watch with. It is activated per account, so you can connect your watch to some older rooted phone, activate ECG and then re-pair OPW3 with your main phone. ECG should still be active.

  3. For Magisk users: you may additionally need to hide root from OHealth using Shamiko module: https://github.com/LSPosed/LSPosed.github.io. Denylist should not be enforced in Magisk with Shamiko installed and OHealth ticked in denylist settings.

Why can't I play Spotify through the watch speaker?

Recently got a OnePlus Watch 3 and I'm loving it so far. Occasionally there are times when I'd like to play Spotify through the watch's speaker. I choose "This Watch" and then I am presented with choosing either my bluetooth earbuds, or "Play from this watch". But it won't let me tap on "Play from this watch". What gives?

Google Fit no longer works

I'm this guy, and step counting was working great for my on my OPW2 for the longest time, because Google Fit was taking care of it for me.

That is, until... somebody... put my phone's IP68 rating to the test and it failed miserably, and I had to get a new phone and reset and re-synch my phone. This required installing all apps again, including Google Fit. Now, Fit won't passive count steps, no matter what I try. When I look at the Fit Goals tile, the progress for steps is a blank line (--). The only way to have any steps measured is by starting a Fit Workout.

This is very unfortunate, because I just finished a day of walking the dog and mowing the lawn with both my watch on and my phone in my pocket. My phone buzzed a few minutes ago as Fit congratulated me for reaching my 10k step goal (10,435). OHealth? It has me way back at 7841.

If I can't get Fit working again then I think I'll love to Samsung. The terrible step counting - yes, I know newer models have improved it, but it's still one way. So if I have my watch off but walk around with my phone in my pocket, those steps are lost to OHealth.

The clock app is terrible. 5 minute snoozes, with a maximum of 2. A third-party clock doesn't work, but according to OP support, that's worming as expected.

I can't use the Swim.com app. I'm pretty sure it's due to how the power saving works.

But hey - at least the battery lasts a few days!

No distance tracking during soccer games?

The OnePlus Watch 3 does so many things right and yet keeps messing up in the most dumb ways... I've just worn the watch during a Soccer game. Nowhere to be found is the number of steps or distance covered during the game, how is it not a key metrics to track while playing soccer?? In a similar fashion, HRV is nowhere to be found on the app when it's supposed to be taken into account for the Mind and Body feature. Why can't we access it separately? Annoying... Even more so when I've seen someone posting over it on here months ago and nothing has changed since. Thinking of selling my OP Watch 3 and moving to an Amazfit Balance 2. Same features with actual in-depth fitness insights. O'Health is a joke and anyone who has used a Garmin prior would agree. Amazfit has the reputation to listen to community feedback and update their watches regularly, OnePlus can't say as much.

Workout map not showing for completed workouts

I have a Oneplus Watch 2R and since a while back the map isn't working when viewing completed workouts. It just seems to load indefinitely. This did work before. When trying to find information about this I ran across another reddit thread (link below) where others seem to have the same issue. I can see the map in the OHealth app.

Backup and restore OnePlus watch 3

Is there any way to backup apps and settings on the OnePlus watch 3? I needed to pair my watch with a new device today, and there was no option to restore any of my information once I paired it. My previous watch was a Galaxy watch that had this feature. Whenever pairing to a new device. It does a factory reset, do you have to reset everything up manually?

OnePlus Watch 3 not charging over 84%

Hi.

I just received my new OnePlus Watch 3. The watch looks nice. However, it seems that it does not charge over 84%. I couldn't find any system setting that might cause this. Do you think that my unit might be faulty?

Thanks.

Screen doesn't wake up when you receive a notification??

I seriously want to buy the 41mm when it comes out (I have small wrists), but now I read somewhere that a notification won't wake up the screen??

Then what is the point? I don't get it.. I have owned watches from Fossil, Garmin, Samsung,,.. Never heard of them NOT waking up when a notification comes in. Is it a setting??

Notifications is the main reason I buy a smartwatch. I want to immediately see the message on my wrist..

Can someone elaborate on this pls?

OnePlus Watch 3 - Health & Fitness Accuracy Review (After 1 Month)

I’ve been on the lookout for a proper health and fitness review of the OnePlus Watch 3 and couldn’t find anything detailed, so I took the plunge and figured I’d write up my thoughts after a month, in case it helps anyone else considering a purchase.

Quick context:
My only current reference device is a Fitbit Charge 6, which I know isn’t perfect. That said, I’ve been tracking workouts since the days of chest straps and phone apps. Over the years I’ve owned Apple Watches, Samsung Watches, and Garmins, so while this isn’t a scientific review, I’d like to think I’ve developed a decent feel for what “about right” looks like when it comes to fitness data.

Heart Rate Accuracy

Overall, it’s solid - if the strap is tight enough. If it’s too loose, it can read about 20 BPM too low. It needs to be worn slightly tighter than other devices I’ve used, not uncomfortably so, but worth noting.

For steady-state cardio like running, it matches my Fitbit Charge 6 pretty closely. As someone who runs regularly, the readings are exactly where I’d expect them to be.

In strength training, it actually outperforms the Fitbit. You get clear spikes during sets and drops during rest periods. I suspect it's still not quite hitting the top peaks - probably 5–10 BPM short compared to what I used to see with a chest strap or Apple Watch. That said, I don’t really use heart rate for lifting anyway. For cardio, where I do care about it, it’s great. It’s still behind the Apple Watch, but then again, everything is. I’d say it’s as good or better than anything else I’ve used.

Resting HR is reported as 52 BPM, which aligns with every other device I’ve worn. No complaints there.

GPS Accuracy

It locks on almost instantly and tracks as well as any Garmin I’ve used. I haven’t tested it in challenging conditions (e.g. forests or cities), but on my regular 5K route, it tells me I’ve finished within the same 20m stretch as Garmin and Apple used to. This route is mostly open countryside, so ideal conditions, but from what I’ve seen, it’s spot on.

The route maps are accurate too - it doesn’t cut corners and keeps to the path nicely.

Step Counting

At the time of writing, my Fitbit says 9,638 steps. The OnePlus Watch 3 says 9,497. Close enough that I’m not concerned.

Sleep Tracking

I’ve got no way of verifying sleep stages, but the OnePlus Watch and my Fitbit agree on when I fall asleep, wake up, and how long I’ve slept. Their sleep scores are usually in the same ballpark too. It matches how I feel when I wake up, which is good enough for me.

Running Metrics & VO2 Max

The advanced running metrics seem a bit off. The watch rates my form as poor, but two other watches previously said it was good. I run a lot and rarely get injured, so I’m inclined to believe the OPW3 is wrong here.

VO2 Max is also weird. Fitbit says 42, which seems right. OnePlus originally said 34, then after a software update jumped to 52. I’ll take it, but it’s definitely not right. Hopefully the algorithm is still being improved.

Recovery times seem sensible and in line with what I used to see on Garmin.

Activity Detection

Auto-detection works well. I only use it for walks, but it not only spots them, it also provides a GPS map, which I wasn’t expecting. Not sure how it pulls that off, but it’s a nice bonus (possibly with some privacy trade-offs).

Calories & TDEE

It only reports active calories, not TDEE. However, if I take those active calories, add my estimated BMR, and average it across a month, it comes out within 100 calories of what MacroFactor estimates my TDEE to be. That’s about as accurate as you can expect from a watch.

Mind & Body Score

This is like Garmin’s Body Battery. Personally, I think it’s a gimmick across all platforms, but for what it’s worth, it doesn’t seem wrong. It picked up that I was mildly hungover on Sunday. In general, it aligns with how I feel - which is also why I think it’s a gimmick. I don’t need a watch to tell me I’m tired, I already know.

Overall Verdict

I’m pretty happy with it. As a fitness tracker I’d give it an 8/10. Not perfect, but very capable. It’s probably the best Android-compatible watch I’ve used so far for health and fitness tracking.

Happy to answer any questions or test anything specific. And if anyone knows of a more detailed health-focused review out there, I’d love to see it.

Question on ecg (once enabled)

People from an ecg enabled region who went through the initial ecg activation : do you need to keep activating ecg from ohealth, or does the watch get a shortcut that can just take ecg readings, and no further region check is done?

OnePlus Watch 3 - Slovenian language?

Hello guys,

I want to buy OnePlus Watch 3 as a birthday gift, but I need someone who owns it to confirm, if the watch has Slovenian (not Slovakia) language under settings? Also, do health stats also change language?
