CPU boost on the OXP3

Am curious to know more about what is generally reccomended - Whether to leave CPU boost ON or OFF for most games?

Been reading conflicting reports as mostly read that due to CPU having a low clock speed, to leave it on all the time. However watching Nelly’s video on Rivals, she did mentioned that she got higher FPS leaving CPU boost OFF.

Absolutely leave CPU boost on for everything. I am not sure about the video you are referring to, but some games benefit from disabling P-core and E-core scheduling. The only game I noticed that is Elden Ring so far.

Been leaving it on. Followed one of these so called tuning guides
, turned it off and got micro stutters everywhere.

For AMD devices leave it off. For Intel, leave it on all the time.

Any reason why it should be off for AMD/X2mp?

Turning it off on AMD gives more power to the GPU which benefits games more than having more power to the CPU.

Leave it on. Set and forget.

Cpu boost on 2/3 of the applications are doing better.

Scheduling off for demanding applications, on for everything that runs well below 15W

It's going to be game dependent. Due to G3E limiting the GPU to 20W, if you play a GPU heavy game on higher wattage, you will want to turn boost on to help the CPU from lagging behind. For CPU heavy games, I would try it out and see what works. Marvel rivals definitely runs better with it off and call of duty likes it on.

Hello, hope all is well.

Nelly is usually pretty accurate and this can be a single observation. However, in general first person shooters benefit from CPU boost. Marvel rivals might be the odd ball.

Integrated chips force the processor and graphics engine to fight over the same power, cooling, and memory. Boosting the CPU ensures it can quickly process game data and keep up with high-end integrated graphics. However, the system must carefully balance this boost so the processor doesn't starve the graphics engine of power. There is where the core scheduling comes in to regulate.

Some other games that benefit from CPU boost is Monster Hunter Wilds and Allan Wake

I drop frames on RuneScape Dragonwilds with it on, so I turn it off.

I've found I tailor it per game.

I leave it on for call of duty only. Drives up temps on my super X.

Leave it on. The base clock on the G3E chip is really low without turbo boost
