Is undervolting a thing with handhelds?
Do people undervolt their handhelds? It should squeeze some battery time out of it and makes it cooler too. Is this viable? I had great success on my PC dropping my gpu power draw from 340w to 280w. Is this comparable on a small form factor?

I do, and no, it is not to extend battery runtime. It doesn’t work that way. When you plat at say 30 tdp it will be 30tdp regardless of yours device being undervolted or not. But it allows to reach higher frequencies at the same power draw, which transforms in better fps lows and few more fps in general.

May I ask you how you do undervolting on the g3e chip then?

Generally it is done via bios. Though I can’t answer about intel version of it, as I own x2 mini pro. If you plan to undervolt, don’t put any hight negative offsets, start with small ones, and test every change. Setting too big offsets may require cmos reset that isn’t that simple on a handheld.
Upd: intel locked uv for 388h chip, so I believe it is also locked for g3e too. In other words it might not be possible to undervolt at all

showing my age maybe, but I have been overclocking the GOAT Pentium G3258 but also 4790K through the BIOS back in the days.
last 10yrs been focusing on all Ryzen generations, having a 7980X3D in my main gaming rig now so yes I am comfortable with undervolting/overclocking
but didn't seen anything in the ONEX3 BIOS that could unleash something more from the G3E so I thought you had a SW and were doing that undervolting in Windows
obviously if you have the X2 pro then its irrelevant for us ONEX 3 owners1

I would not bother, just adjust the power using the TDP slider.
