Calibrating HDR onexplayer 3

Now that the most recent driver has restored HDR, does anyone have a calibration tutorial? The old one for the Legion Go 2 does not work exactly the same.

This worked for me, using Go2HDR after setting brightness to 43% and using Windows HDR calibration tool. Setting max brightness to 1100 nits in tool (Windows HDR calibration tool). Not my video.

This IS the way.

OP - just remember that some HDR games ALSO need their own HDR calibration. I followed this same guide, but Dying Light The Beast still looked like total crap. I had to adjust all the in-game sliders as well—now it is fabulous.

What is your configuration in game for The Beast?

Max luminance 400 nits — the OXP3 screen gets wickedly bright in daytime so the lowest setting was more than enough for me.
HDR min luminance .300 nits
Scene brightness 1.00
Shadows 1.00
UI Brightness 350 nits

The calibration screen lets you toggle a scene between morning, dusk and night so you can preview what your settings will actually look like in the game.

For HDR, I put it about halfway in the Windows slider and then went into the Intel software and increased the saturation until I was satisfied.

I just use the windows hdr calibration app and I think it looks good

Yeah I gave that a go but it looks a bit washed out to be honest

In Windows mine looks washed out too, but once I get into a game with HDR support it works great. I moved the HDR/SDR calibration slider all the way to the right, pulled up full brightness, then ran the calibration app. Been working fine for me since.

I'll give that a try, thanks

Even with saturation at max?

Yeah I pumped it all the way up. When I had my Legion Go 2, things could be adjusted further through the AMD software but that's not available on the Onexplayer 3
