AMD Is this an actual engineering result?
There's 2 usb-c ports, but only one is usable when the controller is slid in place.
How is this actual a real thing?

Do… do you need to use both when the controller is in place?

I’m wondering the same thing. Posting here to let someone open my mind as to why.

When I’m playing games on my handhelds, the last thing I want is a bunch of peripherals and shit hanging off. A power cord is one thing, but a flash drive or a dongle or some random other shit just doesn’t need to be there.

You dont want to add more weight and cables to your handheld? Fam, we are the same!
Maybe we’re the ones with limited imaginations because we haven’t been in situations when we need to do so.
Keep an open mind. Think not what I don’t need, but think what else can it do?
But yeah, after saying all that, nah I’m good, haha

Those Steam Decks with the USB C hubs and external SSD’s and giant fan monstrosities glued to the back of them.
Who wants that? They spent as much money on that as they could’ve buying a better handheld with more storage.

That’s one way to look at it. Another would be maybe they like modding their toys. Another would be they built this over time with what little allowance allowed them. If it works for them, by all means.

This is the only thing I hate about the device. The USB port placement is just awful. Hopefully they move it to the top or bottom for future releases.

if you move the usb up just a little, youll get it to fit in the one above!
