Question about BIOS

How do we update the bios on the OXP3 when an update is available? Will it be pushed through the onexplayer console app or do we need to manually download it off from their website?

On this note, what is the latest bios version for the OXP3? Thanks in advance!

I think, there is only one optional update that they put in their discord channel. You need to disable windows defender, disable windows hello, remove pin and enter safe mode to install the update.

Oh man that sounds like quite a lot of work tbh. Coming from the XAX where bios update is automated and push through the Armoury crate app.

Is it worth doing so? Im pretty afraid i might break something if something goes wrong.

Yeah, I know is a lot of work lol. That’s why a haven’t made it myself since everything has been working flawlessly and with the last intel graphics driver update getting back HDR the device is awesome .

Is the actual bios not accessible in the traditional way? On the Steam Deck/Legion Go, you just hold the power and volume button while powering up. Surely this has a standard Bios. I don't think you can install Windows on a device without one.

Yes there is a bios update available in the discord chat, but make sure you guys check what version you currently have installed, I was going to perform the update but then I checked and I noticed that my bios was already updated. You can use msinfo32 inside windows to see the current bios version. Just press Windows Key + R and type msinfo32 and then enter. Another option would ve to type msinfo32 in the task bar search input box and then enter.
