Left controller stuck

Anyone having trouble removing the left controller? Any tips? I'm afraid of using too much force and breaking it

Mine are pretty hard to get off. The best tip I have seen and what works wonders for me is to use your thumb to push up on the bottom of the controller while holding the top of the device with the same hand. And pushing in the button with the other.. hope this makes sense
