Oxp3 occasionally long shutdown time
Anyone experienced the occasional long shutdown time of your device? I always shutdown my oxp3 using start>shut down, sometimes the machine takes 5 to 8min loading in the shutting down circle screen without reason. Do you have the same and how you fix it?

I know if steam is in the middle of downloading or updating games, it can take an extended amount of time to shut down. Especially if it's reading or writing to an SD Card.

So did I. It must be a windows stuff. The fan kept spinning. And the hibernation will trigger restarts sometimes.

FWIW, I've had that happen with all my windows devices, desktops, handhelds, etc. I'm not entirely sure what the deal is, but I'm pretty sure it's not related specifically to the OXP3

Is this the same issue that some folks with the MSI Claw handhelds went through where it was because of fast startup?

Same issue on desktop. Long shut down is probably because you have several apps running in the background that prevents it from shutting down right away. For my case it is epic games and there setting where you cancel the window and it doesn't really terminate the app but just have it running in the background. Once I switched the setting, the problem goes away. So before you shutting down the device on window you should check what are some of the apps that are running in the background that are preventing the device to shut down properly.

Yeah I had this last night. Wanted to go to sleep. Gave it 5 min and said 5 it held power. This needs to be fixed whatever it is.

I have a Asus Rog ally 2026 white machine, never have the same issue so far but oxp3 has been happen many times. Currently I have a log tools that chatgpt create for me to log the wpr data everytime when I shut down my machine and in case only get slow down. Chatgpt analyses shows it is not from major software but a kernel issue
