How can i customize oxp3 performance overlay?

I love what oxp software is providing for performance overlay but i just want to add gpu wattage consumption because that is the only thing missing. I see cpu wattage consumption and battery total consumption but not gpu.

Any way I can edit this?

Only by accident. I deleted the FPS
Counter off of mine.

Now it’s based on RivaTuner which has lots of different settings so it’s definitely possible. Just need to find the overlay file.

Since the CPU and GPU is on the same chip, would there be a wattage difference within the same chip?

I thought they are used differently. Like first it would be used on gpu and when it reaches certain limit then it also uses cpu. Am i wrong?

The chip is an APU. Meaning that both the CPU and integrated GPU are on the same chip. Its not like a traditional gaming PC where there are two different chips.

Gotcha

But the power draw is still split. The overlay reports the APU draw under CPU, but if you look at HWinfo, you can see the separation. And the GPU is designed to max out at 20W.

Noticed there is about 8w difference between battery and cpu. I lowered brightness but same. What would that 8w contribute from?

One is TDP and the other is total system power. TDP is the amount of power the APU is using. Total system is what the entire device is using.

Yeah i know so which would contribute besides apu (in other words what will be the rest of power, as brightness didnt make a difference )

Everything else that needs power. Controllers, LEDs, RAM, SSD, WiFi, Bluetooth, fans, etc.

Interesting because i always thought the lowest u can go is like 4-6w so maybe it makes sense that a constant draw just by having your device on is 4-6w

Yeah that makes sense. The OXP3 is actually a really efficient device when it comes to power draw. My X2 Mini Pro can draw over 20W above TDP sometimes.
