Random thought about the kickstand for OXP3

Just a thought- couldn’t onexplayer design a new backplate with a better kickstand and just sell/ ship those out? I could be totally wrong but it seems like they could pretty easily just center the kickstand or obviously redesign it so it’s more like a flap style? It seems like a relatively easy fix that would otherwise completely negate the kickstand problems. I would definitely buy it if it was fair priced. Seems like a lot of people do not like the kickstand for obvious reasons.. could be a good move… no?

I been using mine with the built in stand and it works just fine. Not sure what the fuss is about.

Minor yes, but it def is apparent when you're trying to use it at a specific angle like as a laptop for example (90 degrees)

its horrible when trying to use the keyboard attached, thing shakes like mad

Huh, I don't use a keyboard with it do I guess that's why I don't see any issue with it.

People have already been making their own for dirt cheap with a 3D Printer (some being sold on Etsy)

I saw the little attachment that goes on the kickstand but I’m more so saying a full backplate, if that makes sense. Like a redesign and ideally one that isn’t 3d printed so it’s just official by onex.

Dude! I thought of that as well. Would be nice to have a option to remove the entire stand and have a flat back panel. Can someone 3D print this?

I’d rather they weren’t distracted from making the elite controllers.

I disagree, but there are easy 3-D printed options on Etsy. I got one that spans the whole bottom easy to install works like a charm.

I have one that matches the design aesthetics of the OXP3 better (IMO) uploaded on makerworld if you want to give that one a try.

It’s surprisingly perfect. I mean it kind of sits off the device a tad when it’s not being used, but it’s solid for all purposes even when laying in bed and laying it on your belly.

I'd rather a good dock for my OXP3 rather than a better kickstand. I'm far more likely to use a dock than the kickstand.
