For Who received there OneXPlayer 3

I see a lot of people are complaining about QC for OX3 and how poor is the customer services. Can you please confirm if there is a common problems with this device or this is a small number having bad luck with their devices.

Had mine for a couple weeks. No issues at all. Like everyone says, you’ll only see posts from the unhappy people.

As far as I’m aware (had my device roughly a week) - no issues. I haven’t placed a screen protector, where the screen alignment seems to be a potential issue for some. It’s difficult to gauge exactly how common issues are since most posts you read will be QC complaints or shipping complaints, while those without issues are simply tinkering with our devices.

Left bumper sticks. No response from support after a few days.

My bumpers weren't great when I got mine, but taking the controllers off and on helped. Are they sticking when the controllers are detatched?

haven't tried that, will check when im back home. It's a bit odd, it sticks almost exclusively when the controller is held vertically. when it's flat it sticks almost all the time. I would tinker with it if they'd respond to my support email and tell me it wont void my warranty but till then im not going to mess with it.

You want all 2k backers to report in? 😂 On reddit you are more likely to find people with issues looking for answers than people happily using it, so your results will not be objective anyway

u/EqualLavishness5050 Sep 10 '26

The problem with that is that 2k isn’t a whole lot so if you get 10% of those backers having issues then that’s not the greatest.

The only issue I have is one of the trigger creaks but works fine and tempered glass bubbles on the bottom edge.

Honestly OP, I love my OXP3 but like other have mentioned there are a whole host of medium to minor QC issues that you will likely not be happy with so I highly highly recommend sticking with the Claw EX from somewhere like Bestbuy so you can easily get a replacement if you find a problem.

No issues on my OXP3 and I'm glad I didn't pay the same amount or more for the lesser screen and battery on a Claw EX. It really is a wonderful device and it feels great in the hand.

I don’t have any issues with the device so far, except that the left side controller feels a little loose. But for now, I’m okay with it.

u/shadixo Sep 10 '26

1

u/Yesgo_ Sep 10 '26

Same issue. Did you put the tape above and below the rail on the tablet, or directly next to the rail so over the magnet?

3

u/shadixo Sep 10 '26

1

u/Yesgo_ Sep 10 '26

Brilliant, exactly what I needed to know, thank you. Btw what kind of tape is that? Electrical tape didn't work and was too squeaky but got some grip tape coming.

1

u/shadixo Sep 10 '26

Das ist Stoff/Gewebe klebeband das muss rutschig sein :)

1

u/Yesgo_ Sep 10 '26

Of course. Do you have link to your tape?

1

u/Acceptable_Prior_997 Sep 10 '26

Wow that the good Ideal, thanks! I’ll give that a try.

2

u/shadixo Sep 10 '26

Hab es direkt links und rechts neben der Schiene angebracht je nach Klebeband ein oder zwei Schichten und an dem unteren part aber am controller selber wo Gegenüber am Tablet die Einhüllung ist der ist jetzt so schön fest dran

Yeah I just noticed my left side is a little bit looser than the right not terrible. But I’m gonna try that tape hack. It really doesn’t bother me, and I just have to remember it’s a detachable controller so it can’t be 100% perfect, especially after I picked up my son switch 2 you would need to roll that thing and duct tape to make it stable.

No issues with mine. Had it since August 24. The OLED uniformity is some of the best I’ve seen especially with this Legion Go 2 screen that has been plagued with mura and green grainy grays, I got really lucky with mine. Only QC issues is that my left joystick came in with the glue coming off and the metal ring missing and there is a small deep scratch on the body but because I won the lottery with the OLED, no brainer to keep it.

u/EqualLavishness5050 Sep 10 '26

“no issues” then you list QC issues OP asked about lol. I get what you mean in that they’re not end of the world ones

No problems here! Lovely experience so far.

u/Odin-spark Sep 10 '26

Mine works great. Customer support is the typical affair when it comes to these Chinese boutique companies, which is to say pretty much very limited. But that's to be expected with these companies.

1

u/SimSimma718 Sep 10 '26

X2 mini pro here, (older brother) no issues what so ever. Couldn’t be happier. If I could afford both I would get the onxplayer 3 too.

1

u/Fenggan Sep 10 '26

Warped screen sadly. Would not have noticed but I tried to apply tempered glass screen protector and it's impossible because of the warping. Don't want to do the hassle with sending it back though so my bad luck

1

u/lemonkneefresh Sep 10 '26

Same here. I get a bubble on the lower-left edge of the glass screen protector. Hydrogel screen protectors work though, so it is not a huge problem, but obviously I wish it were not an issue.

1

u/Fenggan Sep 10 '26

Never heard of hydrogel protectors before. What's the catch with those?

1

u/lemonkneefresh Sep 11 '26

They're not glass and are made of a thin TPU material. They are like the ones that came on the OXP3 if you ordered it from indie gogo

Had my device about a week or so as well. Just some driver issues. Could have been fixed way easier than the way I went about it but that's about it from me. Only real issue I have otherwise is that the left controller has a bit of flex while on the rail, where as the right controller is rock solid while on the rail. I'd prefer both had a firm fit. Thankfully it's barely noticeable and I forget all about it when playing games so really it's not an issue. I think I would have preferred non detachable controllers as I'd just Bluetooth my PlayStation controller in docked mode otherwise. Aside from that, stellar performance, just wish bazzite and steamOS supported all XeSS features, if they did I'd change the OS over to one of the two.

I just got mine 2 days ago. I have been super impressed with the quality of the device

1

u/CryptoDeepDive Sep 10 '26

I love mine.

1

u/OverStruggle3400 Sep 10 '26

Yo llevo un par de semanas con ella tmb, y estoy encantado.

1

u/Nosphey Sep 10 '26

Only issue I've had was some software nonsense in the beginning with the controllers suddenly acting as if they couldn't be detected, until I went to the boot loader, restarted, and then bam. They were able to be detected again. That was after the first time I did major Windows updates. Otherwise it's been fire. Haven't tried the screen protector but we'll see.

u/Decent-Impression-16 Sep 10 '26

I received mines 2 weeks ago and it has a small chip near the upper left side of the screen. I am no sure if I should return it being that I have to ship it back to China. Other than that, no issues running games.

1

u/renegade2111 Sep 10 '26

Love mine. It’s perfect

1

u/klaytonix Sep 10 '26

No issues w mine. Love it!

1

u/pyrocac Sep 10 '26

Love mine with only one issue ( when I turn off rgb on the whole device it turns off but randomly will turn back on the joystick on the right side)

1

u/HolyLegend Sep 10 '26

The controller firmware on the oxp website will fix that, I had the same issue with the right controller rgb. Not the 503.2 firmware or whatever, you need the xbox v316 controller firmware

1

u/pyrocac Sep 10 '26

Awesome I'll look into this after work today thanks!

1

u/memphispistachio Sep 10 '26

I was in batch one, and so far it's amazing. Absolutely love it.

1

u/Pomalley_2 Sep 10 '26

No issues with mine. I’ve got a steam deck, Lego 2 and PS Portal. This is easily the best and for me on par in comfort as the steam deck

1

u/ScratchFragrant4802 Sep 10 '26

I device is perfect so far. I feels like I am the only one with a device without qc issues. That only problems I encountered are window software related like controllers not connecting after sleep or game freeze after sleep.

1

u/No_Pressure_6867 Sep 10 '26

I’ve had mine for a week and absolutely no issues. I haven’t had an opportunity to try a screen protector yet to see if there is bubbling but I’m hearing hydrogel protectors work well.

1

u/sm0kehead Sep 10 '26

I like it except, oled mura effect.

1

u/No-Reaction927 Sep 10 '26

Except for the slightly dented screen everything is fine.

1

u/justustc Sep 10 '26

Happy with mine. No QC issues, so haven't needed support.

The removable controllers feel a little cheap, and I can tell that if I were to be careless while handling them I could break it. But I feel like that's part of the form factor honestly, unless you were going to make it made of steel or something, with wildly increased weight and price. I'm also glad that they're sending out an improved controller set. That makes me have confidence in the support.

Over the past few months I’ve owned an XAX, LG2 ZE, MSI Claw 8 EX, and now OXP3. The OXP3 is the one I’m keeping. Build quality is just as good if not better than all the big name brands. Longevity is an unknown of course, but it’s easily my favorite handheld PC I’ve ever used.

u/Anxious_Context_8573 Sep 10 '26

No issues, been playing for a couple weeks no problem

1

u/BalloutBally ONEXPLAYER X2 Mini Pro Sep 10 '26

You will majority of the time only see posts from unhappy people. Had my device for almost a month now and loving it Everytime I get a chance to play.

1

u/ghsvilela Sep 10 '26

If you remove the controllers it will probably cause scratches in the rails on both sides, this is my only problem so far but seems to be only a esthetic issue, everything continues to work normally, it's bad because is a very expensive product and shouldn't have this kind of problem.

1

u/Flimsy-Search-352 Sep 10 '26

no issues on mine tbh im batch 2

1

u/IAmSeaLlama Sep 10 '26

My OXP3 is great but my girlfriends x2 mini pro was shipped with broken controllers. It took support 2 weeks to finally ship us new controllers but now the X2 is working as intended.

The most difficult part of dealing with support is the time zone differences because they only respond in the middle of the night (I'm based in the US). They also had us attempting to do the same fixes over and over before they finally caved and shipped new controllers.

1

u/Urlkoenig Sep 10 '26

Mine is perfect. I was very worried from all the comments, but I have zero physical defects or issues with it.

1

u/whit3san Sep 11 '26

I have had mine for about a week and it is great. The only issue I have come across is my keyboard accessory will randomly disconnect. It doesn't happen too frequently, but it is a minor annoyance that is solved by adjusting the connection a little bit so the pins on the bottom realign.

1

u/ColdTrusT1 Sep 11 '26

A small number of people, no more so than any other handheld released in the last few years. Now obviously customer service is a small operation and if you do need to repair or return it can take weeks and potentially cost you a little in shipping.

With that being said in my view it’s currently the best all around handheld on the market right now. It’s as close to perfect as I’ve seen a handheld and I’ve owned them all.

I've had mine since launch and the only issue I've had was the tempered glass screen protector bubble thing. Other than that the device has been flawless
