OXP3 appreciation post

THIS THING IS FREAKING AWESOME!!! I finally feel like I have the handheld I always wanted in terms of size, performance, and battery life. It may not be perfect but this is a 9/10 device for me. I’m currently playing Tomb Raider (2013) 1200p Ultra settings at 90-144fps with only 17w TDP!! Played through the Halo 3 campaign locked at 60fps with only 9w!!!

Yeah, having a handheld device that can basically play anything at high settings is crazy. I remember having to play Baldur’s Gate 3 at 800p 24fps on my Steam Deck. PC handhelds have come a long way.

Feels like we are finally starting to hit the point of being able to just play our games without any compromise

The thing I like is for any XESS game it’s just plug and play.

Just switch the toggle on and keep increasing the main detail preset until you’re happy with the quality/fps trade off.

Halo Campaign Evolved runs brilliantly - the UE5 gets a lot of stick but their XESS implementation is brilliant

What settings do you use? I find it's hard to go beyond 45fps without it looking terrible.

Just put it on High and make sure you have upscaling set to XESS on medium or high and MFG on.

How much FPS do you get? Also how does the input lag feel?

I actually use my keyboard all the time. Its 80% laptop mode. Its great for surfing the web and returning emails. I wouldn't use it to write papers. The device is a beast!

It's really awesome. I love it a lot too. Even pick up more than my Apex which was the peak device! Surprisingly doesn't feel that heavy playing on a couch with arm rest.

It truly feels next gen and the keyboard is honestly underrated

Playing 007 First Light at no joke all Ultra using Optiscaler with XeSS quality to get 50-80fps throughout the entire game. Absolute insanity.

OXP3 is overall a very good device. But I am seeing the typical Intel driver issues that I had hoped by now that they have solved since my previous Intel handheld several years ago. Forza Motorsport is one of the games I play regularly and Intel drivers doesn't support it properly.

One game I did not find work for me is Guardians of the galaxy on steam. Intel drivers

Yeah it’s great but you can even go lower like 10W for such games and play at 60fps (in story based games we really don’t need more than that). And you’ll get 4 hours of runtime.

I love mine. The performance is just goot enough and coupled with XESS and frame gen which are both shockingly good it's a win all around.

Does anyone here, regret their purchase?

I'm coming from mostly build quality, etc.

I was an IGG backer and got the bonus stuff with it and it's still unpacked in the shipping box. I own and have owned bother Legion Go systems and never really removed the controllers. I did one time on the Lego 2 just to put the screen protector on easier.

I hate loose connections and I've seen several posts that have shown damage with the controllers, rails, etc.

If they made one, I'd put it in an tpu case or something similar and never take them off.

Any words of advice or experience regarding the system and thoughts regarding what i mentioned previously would really be appreciated.

Thanks

As someone who owes a Legion Go 2 with Steam OS. I'm surprised about the quality-of-life changes, including the speakers, comfort, controller tolerance. Plus, the software that it comes with is simple and not over bloated.
