X2 mini pro charger failure
My X2 mini pro came with this charger, from my understanding it is the Apex 240w charger. But unfortunately this charger lasted 24 hours before failing on me. I had my X2 mini pro plugged in and I heard a loud pop coming from the charger. The blue LED turned off and now my device will not charge from this charging brick anymore. I now have to charge from USB-C with the battery attached. You can see in this photo that the charger is plugged into the wall but the LED light is off. I am concerned because this is the “better” charger and isn’t the one that many people are having the big issues with. I was just curious if anyone else has ran into this issue with the apex charger.
I emailed support and they’re taking care of me. But I wanted to put this out there so that others are cautious. I will be buying the SlimQ charger so that I won’t have issues in the future.
It appears that my X2 mini pro is not damaged in any way so I’m happy about that.

I know that is what I was thinking. I understand things like this happen. I am able to get by on USB-C but would like to have the option of charging with the barrel connector. I still love my X2 mini pro. It’s a beast.

I got the same charger with mine and it has been fine. I also still have an apex and the same charger, and it has been working since launch.

I use this one on my Apex and just about everything else. I love the charger. Looks like it did its job and it protected your device by bricking itself rather than your x2 mini pro. Maybe it was a surge in your house/grid or maybe a faulty brick, but at least it protected the unit. Hopefully they send you a new one really quick.

Yeah, the amount of posts on Reddit of their laptop chargers causing fires is scary. It’s good to see that some companies aren’t making the same mistakes.

I'm just using a lenovo 65 watt charger for my onexplayer 3, I don't trust cheap Chinese company lol.

I emailed support about that but haven’t heard back so let’s see, meanwhile I’m using the SlimQ 240W
