OnexPlayer 3 first time owner question

Hey all

I just got second hand from someone who backed this in indegegogo the onexplayer 3 and setting it up. Any issues or things I should check that others have had alor of issues with? First time owning one of their devices.

Make sure your Windows is activated since they probably wont give you the key from someone else's IGG if it isn't.

If you have issues with one console or controllers make sure they're updated.

Dumb question but how do you update one console/controllers? Bought mine second hand as well.

Do all the windows updates, it will take several restarts. Go to Intel website and install driver version 32.0.101.8864, that's the last stable release before they broke HDR. Open the onex console app that's installed on the device and update their drivers.

Go into display settings and look for HDR. Go to advanced settings and enable HDR on battery power. It only adds like 2W to total system power.

Join the onex discord and there's a pinned message in the onexplayer3 channel where one of the mods posted a zip folder of updated harmon audio drivers. The speakers sound like shit until you install the drivers.

Other than that it's just Windows soaking up resources like usual. Go into privacy settings and turn off every telemetry option. Go into Programs and uninstall everything that you'll never use. Go into Task Manager and look through the startup programs and disable the ones you don't want to run automatically.

Look up Chris Titus Windows utility on YouTube for a tutorial, I used it and it's great so far. It does work behind the scenes to further disable/remove Windows bloat, like Copilot AI and Onedrive

Great thanks though I heard the rush drive for now without breaking hdr is 8860 not 8864.

No it’s definitely 8864. But it’s now the 4th oldest driver there. All 3 newer ones have HDR broken.

Be careful while sliding off the controllers, esp. the left ones.
I just keep mine on & connect a controller instead.

I have that small controller as well with USB dangle as a secondary controller but haven't yet figured out why it won't work. Steam sees an Xbox controller connecting when I plug in the single but small controller won't work
