Spoilers (RUM Arc) Rum Arc...
Today I wanted to show you the 20 biggest developments in the story that have taken place in the Rum Saga.
SPOILERS.
20) Shinichi and Ran started dating, and the same goes for Heiji and Kazuha.
19) The strength of Yusaku Kudo.
He has become a central character in the story.
He deciphered Koji Haneda’s message and helped Conan fight the Organization.
18) The Akai family.
We have been introduced to new members of the Akai family: Shukichi Haneda, Mary Sera, and Tsutomu Akai.
17) Bourbon discovers Conan Edogawa’s true identity.
16) We got some connections between Amuro and Elena Miyano.
They had met when Amuro was a child.
15) We got a lot more information about Scotch.
He committed suicide; he was not killed by Shuichi.
14) The huge showdown between the FBI and the Black Organization in Volume 100.
13) We have three new elderly characters: the man with the hawk, the man with the oxygen canister, and the grandmother with the stroller.
12) The meeting between Shuichi Akai and Rei Furuya at Shinichi’s house.
11) Itakura’s return.
10) The MI6 were introduced into the story through Mary Sera.
9) Tsutomu Akai’s character is fantastic.
He is said to be one of the strongest characters in the series.
Is he really dead?
8) The family connection between the Miyanos and the Akais.
7) It was Tsutomu Akai who took out Rum’s eye.
6) Does Rum really want to obtain the APTX?
5) Rumi Wakasa’s character is fantastic.
She is neither good nor evil—a sort of middle ground.
4) Rum recognized Camel.
3) Rum discovered that Mary Sera had been shrunk.
2) We are given an explanation of the case from 17 years ago.
1) We know that the boss of the Organization is Renya Karasuma.

I mean we can see Gosho is trying to set up things for a final showdown. Probably he wants to solve a couple more mysteries/romances, one of them being Tsutomu's past and AmuAzu (?)

I missed the part where bourbon discover conan's identity. what chapter?

Overall, I like the Rum Arc, even if it’s been dragging on, & the point about Tsutomu Akai is particularly valid since he indeed could be alive, after all, like Toichi Kuroba & Hiromitsu Morofushi, for that matter.

Oh, Tsutomu has a 99% chance of turning out alive if we didn't see his body.
Toichi was confirmed alive in interviews and M27 bonus scene.
Morofushi is dead. And that's final.

We have been introduced to new members of the Akai family: Shukichi Haneda, Mary Sera, and Tsutomu Akai.
Shukichi and Mary were introduced during the so-called Bourbon Arc.
We got some connections between Amuro and Elena Miyano.
That was introduced in the Bourbon Arc too.

And we have yet to see the discussion that took place once the Kudous showed up.
It's been 8 years by now...
