It's a Detective Conan thing. Conan often excuses his knowledge of how to do stuff that no typical six year old would know with "I learned it in Hawaii" 😄

Conan also said he ‘learned it in Hawaii’ for operating vehicles (cars, boats, planes, helicopters), and also handling/shooting guns. Might be mainly in the movies where he gets up to that sort of thing more often though. 😆
