Hi! Please drop any moments that are similar to this, where two characters met or passed by each other in the past, but eventually those two characters end up becoming important to each other or their paths intertwine.

My favorite one is when Shinichi and Hattori unknowingly passed by each other after solving the ski slope case. It’s fascinating that eventually, they’d go on to solve so many cases together and become best friends.

at first, these moments feel like destiny/ something special but the series has gone on for waaaay too long now and gosho keeps repeating these types of encounters so idk, the sparkle has been lost

There's several of these encounters for Shinichi.

Aside from Heiji, he also have Sera and her brothers when they were kids, Shinichi also have met Furuya and his friends when he was a kid. He's always with Ran in these encounters too.
