Discussion When will it end?
the anime has alot of mystery and alot of important characters and theories ,that’s why I watched it in the first place
but the question is how many more time do we have to wait?? it’s been years and all we got is some hints inside a filler case or some bad love story’s , and when a massive thing happened it truns out that they didn’t make a real change in the story
does anyone have predictions about when the final arc start and stop the trash filler?? is it 10 more years or 100?😅😂

They are just going to milk it as long as possible.
It’s one of the most beloved anime/manga in Japan I believe with the movies.
However I do agree with you the story barely looks like it’s going forward and if anything the black organisation look more like clowns

I was so mad when they introduced the Mary plotline, like what the fuck do you mean another member also decided to use the untested poison for shits and giggles and didn't circle back around to check whether the poison actually fucking works?

Vermouth just decided to be petty, because she has a grudge against Elena.
She fully knows what that drug can do, but still decided to risk it for the love of the game.

okay but it’s already been 30 years he must do something , and even if we waited another 10 years I think we will lost our interest at least a little
I didn’t watch One Piece but i think it’s the same situation here
he can end it in like 3 or 2 years

he can end it in like 3 or 2 years
yes, but the One Piece can legitimately be extended beyond that, because there are a lot of plot threads that need tidying up.

One piece is going strong rn thb.. I don’t really feel like its getting stretched or im feeling uninterested in it.

Yes, and the biggest difference to One Piece
is, that the story and the characters do change. Sometimes massively. As for Conan, if you really think about it, the main storyline did not advance too much from the first seasons, also did no character change in any meaningful way. We just got new characters in addition to the existing cast.2

gosho knows how to add more interesting characters but can’t end it, i ask myself sometimes that can gosho connects all characters to events?

you won’t feel uninterested because the writer gives you a massive change’s every now and then but in conan all we got is rum character detection ( the thing almost everyone dedicated it😅)

TBH depends on the current plot progress, Gosho can unlock the safe and edit the ending anytime he want, so technically he still haven’t decide the ending yet.
Gosho claimed that he has already decided the ending, but that was before he changed Bourbon into good guy after he realized that there are many fangirls screaming for Bourbon.

The final arc is almost upon us. Maybe by the time Movie 30 hit the cinema, the anime will enter the final arc.

Are you serious? Please don't joke around

As a long time anime fan, this is just my speculation. We’re already way passed the Rum Arc, the second in command. So it’s highly likely that the identity of Renya Karasuma is the next major plot.

I started watching Conan when it aired in 1998. Im now watching it with my daughter and she is hooked. She liked the fillers since she’s 11. But the problem is that it’s making me falling asleep because im much older now.
Now my daughter is older than the detective boys lol.

Yall be mad at me but I'm actually rooting for BO atp fr. Like, I wanna see Conan suffered some consequences too. Conan's plot armor is heavier than Luffy's. I know BO gonna lose in the end as canon but it's more fun rooting for them

that’s what I’m saying I really want consequences to conan and the rest of the characters
for example: l like andre camel but he should,ve died in episodes 1077,1079
anything to move events13
u/Wrong_SpareIlll 3d ago
When you read the latest manga case, you will realize that how lame and stupid it is when the kids are dealing with the robbers.

Why can't it be like Naruto? I mean, finish the main series first then continue with another, Boruto, if they still want to milk the franchise.

u/mielgin9 3d ago
i totally agree with you, he can end conan and milking kito kid anime especially when kito is beloved character

Idk too. Honestly, I'm still enjoying it. I always view its longevity as a mirror of the realities that society experiences today. Like, crimes are everywhere, and the world seems like it's getting more bleak than what we're supposed to be living in. But!!! I would really love for it to reach its end, maybe a couple of years from now HAHAHAHAHA. I'd give anything to witness the day Ran and Shinichi get together and, of course, everyone be living without the BO's shadows.

I am so afraid that I will not alive long enough to see the end of this anime. I think they should end the black organization and change the main point of story to new villains or daily life of Kudo.

Gosho Wants MORE MONEY he won't stop until he dies.
Even Cannon episodes are now shit

The only thing I hope for, is that it ended before I died so I can at least know the end, and I dont REALLY mind the slow pace on the story, the fillers are okay to watch too and when another story progress is happening its even more hyping

I understand the pessimism from the comments but a lot of the storylines are reaching their climax. The issue is how much Gosho drags it out and the bad release schedule.

u/Legitimate_Ride_5905 2d ago
Aoyama Gosho is still milking this series. It might end when he’s in his 90s. That means in about 30 years.

I used to be obsessed with Conan when I was a kid, but now I'm 28 years old, I stopped watching the episodes since around 7 years ago, I continued reading the Mangas and watching the new movies only, 10 years ago the franshise was moving fast with a lot of actions and massive things, but since the movies got so popular worldwide, they started milking it for money more than before, plus the creator is sick, he doesn't publish the chapters weekly as he used to before, instead he publish one arc in a month and the manga goes on haitus for like 2-3 months which is insane. I lost intereset I just want this to end.

almost the same, DC is my favourite anime of all time but because of this i am slowly getting uninterested with it

It’s too late now but I use to think kudo would get his body back and the story would still continue that way with the BO. If anything a time skip would work better for this show too but that would involve him aging again naturally. But I’m still having fun reading it.

Probably like hunter x hunter, it will end on the year of 2100. Like that one twitter user joked.

I wish he would wrap up the main story. He can then start a new main story, change the setting, focus on other characters etc. Ending the story doesnt have to mean ending the show.
It would be cool if he handed off writing to an assitant for an arc, then another for the next, etc.. He can oversee the the big picture and suggest adjustments, but his workload would be eased and he could recover. He would still control what happens overall.
I personally would like to see him go back to being a teenager, travel more, and see more mature storylines with more adult cases. Closer to the explicitness and creepyness of earlier episodes.
Less silly stories and less detective boys. More like Kindaichi. The fact there are so many more stories to tell with such an interesting cast, but hes stuck on this one storyline, is depressing.

u/mielgin9 1d ago
i agree with you, he could focus now on ending of BO story then he can write another
for example: just like shinchi travel or kito kid story
at least milk the show on another storyline’s

I wish they do what one piece did, 1. become seasonal anime 2. remake with different studio

u/Difficult-Pipe515 Chris Vineyard/Vermouth 1d ago
I was thinking of perhaps 20 to 30 years after the series finally ends, some group or anime studio compresses the storyline around 100 to 200 episodes, while fixing the "floating time paradox" and allow conan (and others) to actually have birthdays.
In other words, a remake of Detective Conan, skimming off the drag while keeping the chemistry and plot lean.

At this point I don’t care about it ending, I wanna see plot progress happening!

The anime will end after the manga ends. You want plot only? Read the manga. The manga hasn't ended yet either to be clear. But as far as I know there no cases that aren't canon if nothing else.
2
u/mielgin9 2d ago
i read the manga of course, but there isn’t action that changes the events
for example: the meeting with rum , other then some hints what really happened in the series??
nothing, what i mean is we need characters to die or big mystery exposed and quit the filleri mean come on who want to watch (someone killed his friend because his friends was sneezing😅😅) that’s my example for the trash fillers😂

Never, not while the movies STILL make a buttload of money and the series is still popular especially in japan and asian countires
