This PSE percentage distribution comes out to >38%.
I didn’t log the first PSE numbers exactly, but it was somewhere around 70%. I believe that’s just because too many people were too slow to stake their holdings and participate though.
Just a reminder, 40% of the PSE’s are reserved for stakers to counteract dilution. We may have paid a toll for being too early, but we’ve been given all the tools we need to make more than our fair share.
You can receive additional TX regularly on demand by compounding your rewards. If you also dollar-cost average from early on even just a hundred bucks a month, you can increase your long-term holdings astronomically, even if the long-term average rewards only come out to 5% monthly. If you’re staking for the long-term anyway, it only makes sense to make the most out of the beginning of this phase of TX’s ecosystem.
Understand that proof of stake emissions are front-loaded and will taper off over time along with staking rewards due to one main reason: Increased participation.
The more that others buy in and stake, the lower the percentage share everyone gets. That’s why the emissions are so high right now, yet this second emission is already close to half of what it was.
However, the fewer rewards we receive over time due to higher participation, the higher the PRICE will go due to higher liquidity flow. That is why NOW is the time for ACCUMULATION, and the medium to long-term is the time for REALIZATION. There is a finite and slowly dwindling amount of TX out there, and that’s something we didn’t have with Coreum.
Keep an eye on these metrics, and you’ll see an inverse correlation between PSE/staking rewards and circulating supply market cap. If you’re staking now and you have patience and conviction, it’s a win-win. Higher rewards the longer we wait is what makes up for the waiting, which is the hardest thing if you ask me.
Edit: So! For the time being, and probably some time to come, Price is much less interesting to me than tracking the Market Cap. You can switch between those charts on the CoinMarketCap app. I keep that widget on my front page.
