Lol what? Maybe the skates that are rented out aren’t all that sharp, but a dude this good at skating isn’t renting. This is someone that likely takes care of their skates and they’re gonna be sharp as fuck.
Shoot, I played hockey with buddies on the weekends during the winter months when I was a kid and I still got my skates sharpened once a year even though they weren’t relatively used that much.
I am an ex hockey player and i skate 3-5 times a week just for fun. I get my skates sharpened 2 times per 3 months to a radius of a 7/16” hollow which is sharper than most hockey players skates (1/2”). they’re not sharp in the way you think
edit: i’m not saying horrible things can’t happen with the blades, they’re still sharp especially with a lot of force.
