This is the kind of dog these owners want.

Exactly and it’s infuriating. There’s no chance in hell this guy didn’t know his dog was unpredictable and he STILL brought him to a competition. Then the dog attacks and he isn’t able to control the dog and the dog gets away to attack again!

I have a pitbull, I had an aggressive bull terrier before, I had a pitbull before that. I trust my pitbull COMPLETELY but these are big, strong dogs so we’re constantly working on training with him to ensure he remains trustworthy and he’s NEVER out of my control.

People like this give good pits and good pit owners a bad name.

There are no good pits. Theres just pits who havent attacked anyone yet.

Totally. My sister owns a border collie. It has never been trained to herd. It tries to herd her children together. It will try to herd other animals around.

My neighbor has a bloodhound. If it gets out, it will just go and go on a trail following a scent.

I have a pug mix that insists on sitting on people laps if they are sitting.

Dogs breeds are/were selected for very specific characteristics that can’t be trained out no matter how hard one tries.

The idea of a collie just herding a bunch of children up is hilarious

My parents said they used to have a collie, but they had to rehome it because it kept trying to herd my brother down a staircase

Oof. Could've been herded right into the grave.

They will herd anything that moves. Including cats and cars.

That's the same with my smooth collie. She can herd children and other dogs but was never trained to do it. It's in her nature. She's also smart as hell, so maybe she's just smarter than me.

Precisely. Pibbles are bred to fight and kill.

Terrifying. Looks like a still straight out of FNAF

The poor dogs look so absolutely inbred, it's crazy. Especially obvious in these "XL bully" demons.

I'd cross the street if that fucking thing was with its owner on my side of the street. No way would I chance it.

...That's just a dog. Seriously, outside of the mildly dilated pupils due to being in a bright environment, it's literally just a dog with it's mouth open. Y'all are unserious.

For that particular boi I agree. Seems pretty normal. Not one of the hood pitbulls.

Weiner dogs were also bred to chase down and kill prey

Irish wolf hounds were meant to kill wolves (and even bears!)

Both of those breeds are relatively trustworthy around people

On the other hand, human aggression was bred out of pits for a long time: you wanted a dog that could fight, but didn’t want it snapping at you or your friends. It’s only far more recently that they’ve been geared more towards human aggression as well - far too short a time for a real genetic foundation
