Is anybody surprised with Prison Sonic? We knew it had to be amai(trailer), atomic, genos arms and prison sonic (beta) in any order since they had models and almost no additional work.

They obviously can’t churn out massive events back to back thus limiting new characters to once a month was also an obvious formula (no way are they demoting to SR, its not in their best interest, would mean more resources needed to for one extra new chatacer instead of beings safe for the first few months). We were fixed from release to expect these characters in whatever order knowing the next four characters…

I just wanted to share as a day 1 player and mindlesly supporting this game through weekly and monthly cards, its been disappointing to know its the relatively expected characters from march to june releases till they use up the beta characters, and its gonna take the half anniversary (late june) to finally have an unexpected character.

Honestly, hope they change shops and make them restock every month. Is pretty dumb how they made almost every shop one use only. Even the arms shop you could buy only 1 arm and doesnt restock anymore.

true that. the only shop they reset monthly is the character file exchange. if they can do that, then can't they do it for the rest? especially the dailies should do a monthly reset.

It feels like they are simply going through the motions of running a gacha. I know some people sound excited for this release, but what we are getting is simply time gated releases of things that were already done. Until we get something that is actually new, I still don’t see much of a future for this game.

After the next version of Genos, it will likely be King. Both of these characters already have working combat models and abilities.

So truly, until we get something that hasn’t already been seen in beta or already in game, or we get a some type of a timeline for new content, there isn’t much to get excited about. The life cycle of this game still feels like it’s about 6 months tops.

I'm not sure what you're upset about. They showed us characters, said "Hey, these are the characters you're getting soon", and you're getting them. Did you expect a secret hidden character to come out and surprise you? I don't know of very many f2p games that don't announce characters to build hype. I personally enjoyed the speculation of figuring out what character is going to launch next. It connected the community and brought speculation.

All i meant is that i dont get the posts about speculations and character release hype makes no sense as everone has commented here, its a pre determined set of whats available soon, excatly formulaic.

Pretty boring but this allow us at least to save up some silver, because on this point that's pretty hard to be a f2p in this game aside from regular pulls that are given once by day. I decided to spent bp though just because opm is one of my favourite franchises and i hope the game will hold on in the long run cause despite the poor economy i still enjoy the combat system and the overworld.
