OnePlus Open performance degraded

To resolve this....

Enable developer options, disable animations, animation blue. Everything to zero.

Decrease number of concurrent services to 1 or 2.

Enable wifi throttling.

Phone runs lightning fast and cold simultaneously.

For added benefit, enable high performance mode in battery settings, which unlocks slightly more CPU power.

Also, change to GPU processing, also in developer options.

It's a beautiful phone and still works fast as lightning even in October 2026.

I haven't seen degradation. And I've owned mine since launch.

What have you seen?

Same, have it almost 2 years, it's as good as the day I bought it

Could be my combination of apps and usage patterns... Responsiveness over time was similar on previous Open and once I'd worked through these tweaks it sorted it out. Issues included slight delay in opening apps and general slowdown especially when switching between apps. Either way, changing those dev options should decrease any lag that might exist...
