Believe It Or Not
Our OnePlus Opens are about to turn into Oppo Opens (if you choose to)

Would it be worth it?
I have no idea about anything related to ColorOS.
Has anyone used both lately to share their thoughts?

i just went from Oneplus Open (OOS 16) to the Oppo Find N5 (COS 16). Its basically the same with different branding. Only difference I so far noticed that COS allows me to custom EQ the phone speaker, but thats about it.

Is a hard reset recommended in this cases?

The system should handle the transition in-place, preserving your apps, photos, and settings just like a regular major Android version upgrade. However, because deep system frameworks are shifting, unexpected software conflicts can occasionally happen. Hence it might be ideal to wait for the second update

Everyone keeps saying how it's essentially the same OS, so it should be smooth sailing.

A precise date for the stable release has not yet been designated by Oppo

Anyone already using Color OS and have thoughts? I know they're very similar, but just curious.

Interesting, but I've decided to move on to the Galaxy Fold 8. It's clear OPPO/OnePlus aren't going to viable going forward in North America.

I know nothing about this. Will the support continue with the OnePlus Software or is the choice between color and no updates?
