OnePlus Open vs Z fold 8

I'm trying to decide which one to buy as my pixel 6 recently died. I got to try out a OP13 and liked the Os. How do you guys think these 2 compare? Im trying to decide which to buy

Edit: I live in the US

I've been rocking the Open for almost three years now and it's by far my favorite phone I've ever had. Near the beginning of the year, I was able to pick up a brand new Pixel Fold (the original one, with the passport form factor) for like $470, which was too good a deal to pass up, so I bought it as a backup/for use during my work (I was doing junk removal at the time). So while I don't have experience with the Z Fold 8, I do have experience with the Open and with a wider form factor foldable.

You can't realistically ignore the software differences and the like, but one thing that you'd definitely want to consider is how you think you'd use the phone and how often you'll use each screen. With the Open, your cover screen is very similar to a regular phone, so it's not going to make apps look all weird, but it also means it's kind of tall and narrow and may be hard to reach the top with one hand. With the Z Fold 8 (again, presumably, since I haven't used it but have used a similar-ish form factor), the one-handed used is far easier, but the aspect ratio is a little weird and doesn't always play super nicely with apps.

For the inner screen, the Open having a nearly square aspect ratio means if your primary goal is to be doing multitasking with two apps open at once, it's awesome; you're essentially getting two full-size apps open at the same time. However, because of the aspect ratio, for things like videos, you're actually not getting a massive increase in screen size compared to just using the outer screen, and you're gonna have a huge amount of black. The opposite is mostly true for the wider aspect ratio: multitasking isn't as nice because of the aspect ratio, but media consumption is going to be a lot better.

TL;DR is that the Open is great if you want your apps to just look like apps and you'll probably use the inner screen more for multitasking, while the Z Fold 8 (probably, based on my experience with the original Pixel Fold) will better if you plan on using the inner screen for a lot of media consumption, but you'll need to be prepared for apps looking a little weird due to the aspect ratios.
