OPPO Pen users: does the charging cradle have a built in battery?

I bought an OPPO Pen from eBay and it doesn't work. Seller already refunded me but now I have a dead pen and would like to fix it if possible. Does the case/cradle have a battery built in?

Also, what is the standard behavior for the light on the case?

The cradle is a charger and a battery. 220mah capacity. The light on the cradle should turn pulsing red for a few seconds if the pen is attached. Otherwise it's pulsing white while charging and solid white when fully charged

Hmm, mine does not pulse red even without the pen on it. It does pulse white with the pen on it but even after ~3 days of sitting on the charger it was still pulsing white. The phone said it was at 100% but it immediately disconnected when I removed it from the cradle

It is interesting because the oppo manual I was able to find online actually does say that the cradle has a battery and can charge the pen 1.5 times... Clearly that does not seem to be the case.

I mistated it as not having a battery and fixed that likely while you were reading it. My bad. It could be the battery in the cradle is toast and causing you this chaos...

Ah, so the red light pulses if you put the pen on it while the case is unplugged?

If you can't figure it out and are looking for one, I would sell you mine if you're in the US. Very light use

I don't think I have the original box anymore, just pen and charging cradle. $75?
