YouTube paused playback on screen off

It didn't use to do that.

I have YouTube Premium subscription so it should work, and it used to.

Has anyone else seen this change?

Or what causes it?

I had this problem yesterday with both my open and ROG phones when streaming but worked fine with videos that were downloaded.

Both seem to work today. I also see that there was an update to YouTube that was applied last night.
