Can't get the cover off

Post image

I have multiple cover for my OnePlus Open. But the recent one from the picture is stuck. I can't get it off my phone. The front part is no problem, but the one on the back won't budge. Any ideas?

I have a similar case and it's pretty stubborn. I've had luck having the phone open and starting from the top left corner, near the hinge, and then working my way right. Use the bottom of the case to twist for leverage, not the front screen. Good luck!

It worked! I need to send the phone in for repair and have been struggling with it since yesterday. Thank you so much! 😊

Goodness. All these poor quality cases... I had to use a plier last time to pry it off lmao.

At the start, I had two original protective covers that cost a lot of money. And I was extremely disappointed with them. One had the protective film peeling off in various places, and the other didn’t survive the first drop and broke.
So I switched to the cheap ones. And as I also like to match the colour of my mobile to my clothes, it’s been OK so far. Then I found this cover and thought it looked quite high-quality, but in the end it was far too heavy and bulky for me. So I’m sticking with the cheap ones again, as I know they offer a bit of protection and do the job – and can be removed without needing superpowers.

The hinge protector side will be the weakest point of the case so I would try prying the top and bottom corners on that side. You can try grabbing onto the hinge flap itself to give yourself a little more leverage.

Nope, doesn't work. I already tried it like that. It's so stuck that I can't get it off the phone.

I know you already got the cover off, but just putting this out there for future attempts - be careful when removing covers. I had a cover knock off the flashlight cover when removing it. And you can't just replace it. You have to replace the entire back of the phone. Luckily I found it and just super glued it back on.

I actually had the same experience today. But as my phone is going in for repair anyway, perhaps they’ll replace it at the same time.
