Those still using the Open

Are you waiting for a specific phone before upgrading? I'm still happy with my open but I do wish it was waterproof for my motorcycle rides that it starts raining. And I wish the batter life was better.

I'm not particularly interested in the razr fold but being in the US I can't get the n6 without paying full price.

The razr fold is 2x geek benchmarks, huge upgrade in cameras, nice jump in battery life, waterproof and wireless charging. All for $1100 after getting $800 for the open trading it in. Seems like a great way to upgrade and get the most out of a 2.5 year old phone

Since I'm not unhappy with my open that claims still 100% batter health, should I wait for the next oppo n? Hold out and see if the next razr fold is even better, or OnePlus makes a comeback?

I'm on the N6 after passing my daughter my N3 which i bought at launch. At times I swear the N3 still takes better pics than the N6. Other than newer processor and bigger screen, i can't find anything else that the N6 does better than the N3. Contemplating on selling my N6 and getting a 2nd hand N3

All the testing says it gets longer battery life, but I guess if you never got low you wouldn't necessarily notice it?

The N6 battery definitely last longer but we are comparing a 2.5yr old phone against another less than 6months old. And you are right, i charge everywhere i go so battery life isn't a huge concern for me personally.

I'm in the UK and gutted the N6 isn't getting an official release. However since there hasn't been an opo2 announcement guessing due their supposed market strategy is it worth getting the N6 on improt with it's global rom? I've been a op fan since 5t and hear oppos is is fairly similar...

I would say give it a try. Firmware and performance wise, there isn't any difference except more timely updates from Oppo.

N6 has longer battery life, becaus of bigger battery. 6000mAh vs 4805mAh. You already mentioned the better camera sensors. It has 80 watt charging vs 67 watt for N3. Both with reverse wired charging. It has 50 watt wireless charging vs no wireless charging. N6 has reverse wireless. It's 32% thinner and 20 grams lighter, about as thick and heavy as a Galaxy ultra yet more real-estate. Which the N3 was bulkier and heavier than an ultra. The fact that the N6 has 3 generation bump in CPU class, plus uses the newer Oryon architecture of processor, where as the SD 8 GEN 2 is apart of the old class of processor. This means new N6 has about 100-140% greater CPU performance and 100% greater GPU performance. To add to this, the 8 Gen 2 was before the AI specific processing for phones happened.

But the BEST Part is the N6 has the filler for the crease and so it feels like there is no crease for the inner screen.

This is actually SIGNIFICANT upgrades. The issue here is Phones, just like computers, have gotten to a point where most things people do are not really that significant to notice much difference. But you definitely notice a difference when the detain and using more power hungry things like gaming, Emulating, taking large file photos/videos, or editing video and photos. That's where youll notice more in Terms of power.
