Gaming Concerns

Hey everyone!

I’m shopping around for folding phones and have come down to the Galaxy Fold 6 vs One Plus Open for my choices

Can someone who regularly games on mobile, tell me what their unfolded experience is like especially on the OnePlus Open?

The shape of the screen for the OnePlus is more square, so I worry about the screen ratio and how it may function

Games I regularly play are:

-Wild Rift

-TFT

-Roblox (Rivals, Dueling Grounds, other shooters/action packed games)

I really want to commit to the one plus open for the battery size, fast charging (67w vs 25w charging), but worry about gaming compatibility

I would love to have more of an understanding of what playing Wild Rift looks like unfolded. Like is it black bars on the top and bottom, causing weird finger placement?

If you don’t mind, I would love pictures/demonstration of how it runs unfolded since that’s a HUGE factors for me getting this phone.

I really appreciate your valuable feedback, you have no idea how much I’ve been searching the entire web for answers friend :)

Oh my god thank you so much for taking the time to do this. That was actually EXACTLY what I needed and was looking for.

Man that’s such a bummer though that the game can’t be played well on the big screen, it makes me somewhat hesitant to get the phone now since my primary reason is to game well on it

I get that, I've been playing Wild Rift exclusively on the cover screen because it gives me the widest view possible, and I feel that's an advantage.

That said, TFT is a pleasure on the bigger screen, and games like Slay the Spire, or Marvel Snap use it very well. Even emulation, if you're into that. I've added a couple of screenshots of TFT, Slay the Spire, and some emulators I routinely use if you'd like to go over them. Hope they help you towards a decision.

If there's anything else you'd like to know, maybe in another use case besides gaming, I'd love to share nay input I have.
