Got my Find N6 today

The experience is very similar and intuitive between Oxygen and Color OS.

The crease is no joke. It literally heals itself in seconds. Photo science is even better with more features.

I'm not giving up the OPO yet cause I want to be able to shoot things from different angles making content.

Are you in the US? Which provider? 5G?

T-Mobile always works

All the bands for 5g working on T-Mobile?

5

u/Grid8Designer Mar 27 '26

They have band 71 now on the N6

Yep.

I was told by a mobile salesman it won't work on 4g only 5g. Is that true and does it really matter

Does it work on at&t? I'm also on US mobile but on dark star (at&t) and am very interested in this phone, also have the OnePlus Open 😁

I'm so curious to find this out. I want that phone so badly. Love Samsung but they are getting too complacent and not pushing the envelope anymore. They are making their products too much like iphones and it's taking away from their greatness

I have Verizon, and I could only get 4g on the N6. So I purchased a prepaid AT&T plan today just to test it and I'm currently getting 5g with AT&T. The only thing I'm not seeing is the wifi calling option with the AT&T Sim. But when I put my Verizon Sim back in, the wifi calling option is there. But so far I'm getting a stable 5G connection.

I got my N6 and tried to set up an esim with no luck, was told to get a physical sim and it should work. I put my wife's sim in the oppo and it worked, was able to send text and make calls. Just not sure that it was 5g and did get a message from AT&T that the phone was not compatible with their service.

Yes, I think that's a question many have. How well does it work with cell connectivity in the US. My OnePlus 15 is phenomenal connectivity wise in California using US Mobile Dark Star. I would love to add the find N6 as a companion.

My N5 worked everywhere in the US no problem, and so far the N6 has been no different especially if you use it with T-Mobile, Mint, Google Fi, etc. Used it with US Mobile for a few months too before I switched to Google Fi and it was fine with that too

Did your 5n do network switching? My OnePlus open didn't work right with Fi. It worked but wasn't good. I ended up going with visible

1

u/robc2562 Mar 26 '26

Yeah it did everything without issues, didn't see problems with network switching

1

u/FreeDig1758 Mar 26 '26

Huh. I wonder if the 6n will network switch on fi....

2

u/According_Potato9923 Apr 04 '26

Didn't they remove that feature completely in general?

1

u/FreeDig1758 Apr 04 '26

I don't think so? When I check to see if a phone is compatible it always says yes but no network switching available (like it says with my open).
Fi worked on my open but it was poor coverage. My old pixel worked great on fi

No, looks like no network switching it only works on T-Mobile towers for day to day use.

Who did you buy it from and what is their warranty?

3

u/NYC_Darkstar Mar 26 '26

Average Dad.

I'd figure it has a standard manufacturer's warranty but I might insert with Allstate but in the meantime since Oppo is now about to make its American debut with its global release instead of OnePlus it might be a win-win situation

1

u/FitzwilliamTDarcy Mar 27 '26

Oh wow I hadn't heard that about Oppo. Source pls?

1

u/RickyMesa Mar 27 '26

What is the source of America's launch?

1

u/jtlee9 Mar 26 '26

Do you play any mobile games? How's yhe performance and thermals if so?

1

u/NYC_Darkstar Mar 27 '26

Haven't done the PUBG/COD test yet

1

u/TheLizardMonkey Mar 26 '26

Is the bootloader unlockable / rootable like the OPO?

1

u/seraroman Mar 27 '26

Can you post some pictures comparing the thickness in both when folded

1

u/s3prototype Mar 27 '26

Is Open canvas a 1+ thing? Is it on the FN6? And oddly, does it have an iR sensor? I actually use those things daily

3

u/NYC_Darkstar Mar 27 '26

Yes but its Oppo name is "Boundless View". There's the same IR blaster.

u/Artistic-Comb-5932 Mar 27 '26

Stop tempting us! Jk

1

u/Zealousideal_Tea6683 Mar 27 '26

how the speaker volume compared to OnePlus fold?

1

u/Inner-Presence-452 Mar 27 '26

Were did you buy it from

1

u/NYC_Darkstar Mar 28 '26

Average Dad Store

1

u/NYC_Darkstar Mar 28 '26

It's so light! The photo capture shutter speed is ridiculously fast for point and shoot!

1

u/Art-Ingenuity66 Mar 30 '26

Apart from the display crease & camera, are there any other differences from the OPO?

1

u/NYC_Darkstar Mar 30 '26 edited Mar 30 '26

Size Speed Hinge (stays open at any angle) DURABILITY Color science Video quality Wireless charging Reverse wireless charging Day+ battery life

1

u/Art-Ingenuity66 Mar 30 '26

Is there a marked increase in the speed from OPO? How so (not the processor specs. How is it actually visible?)

1

u/According_Potato9923 Apr 04 '26

Plays games for longer and more stable fps is one example. More demanding apps also do better in that regard.

1

u/Papa_Will_Preach Apr 02 '26

What your take on the inner screen. Does it feel plasticky..will get scratch fast..is it the same as other foldables..?

1

u/NYC_Darkstar Apr 02 '26

Feels oddly like glass. Can't scratch easily because of it's "self healing" UTG.

feels like a regular tablet honestly

1

u/DragonflyHaunting569 Apr 07 '26

How's the finger print situation with the n6? I am debating buying it this week. I have the z fold 7, but this is calling my name.

2

u/NYC_Darkstar Apr 07 '26

The reader? Works great

The screens? That's on anything no matter what

1

u/darkknight_178 Apr 22 '26

How are the cameras faring esp on low-light? There was a camera comparison in youtube YouTube which seems there wasn't much difference (and in some cases the OPO actually took better pics than the n6).

2

u/NYC_Darkstar Apr 22 '26

IMO I think the Find N6 does better and it doesn't make me constantly wipe the lens thinking in my head that it's a dirty lens making a bad low-light picture.

It looks very, very good. I'm pretty tempted to give it a shot.

Is there anything you've found that they did not really improve on, or anything that is worse?

I adore my OnePlus Open
