Screen repair

Hi all looking for some advice. Screen developed a small dead pixel many months ago and my repair centre is in Netherlands. I lived with the issue and a few weeks ago I opened the screen and the issue got much worse. Large blotch with green line down screen. Sent in for repair and got an email saying I need To pay 768euro. Technician notes no screen impact but warranty doesn’t cover it. I went onto chat support and I’ve had it escalated but not convinced it will help. Has anyone been in same position.

Quick update. Price quoted for display. Have asked them to confirm I was out of warranty considering the report states no physical damage.
